یکم دیگه توی سیود مسیجام بگیرم اتفاقا جالبی نمیفته.

تنها دلیلم برای فردا بیدار شدن اینه که کلاسام تموم شه بشینم پرل هاربر ببینم

این هفته یه مجموعه جنایی شروع کردم که رومنسش اونقدر پررنگ نیست. ولی طوری که شکل می‌گیره کل داستان رو تحت تاثیر قرار می‌ده. اروت لارکین کارآگاهیه که توی جوخه‌ی پرونده‌های باز (مختومه نشده) دپارتمان پلیس نیویورک کار،
می‌کنه‌. سال ۲۰۰۲ به دلیل‌ برخورد چوب بیسبال توی سرش دچار یه اختلال نادر می‌شه. و هیچ چیز رو نمی‌تونه فراموش کنه. مغزش ریزترین جزئیات رو ثبت می‌کنه و قادره با همون احساساتی که حین تجربه‌ی اتفاق بهش دست داده براش یادآوری کنه.
نمی‌تونه عادی صحبت کنه. بالا و پایین پردن صداش براش کار راحتی نیست و لحنش خیلی مونوتن به نظر می‌رسه. حتی وقتی سوال می‌پرسه هم انگار ته جمله‌هاش نقطه گذاشته.
کتاب با حضور لارکین توی صحنه‌ی جرم شروع می‌شه. جسدی که مال بیش از ۲۰ سال پیشه و با افتادن یک درخت از توی جعبه‌ای که توش دفن شده بیرون اومده.
روی صورت جسد یه ماسک فلزیه و فارنزیکی که همراهش درحال بررسی صحنه‌ی جرم بوده بهش پیشنهاد می‌ده با آیرا دویل صحبت کنه. آرتیست فارنزیکی که تاحالا اسمشو نشنیده.
و اینجا آیرا وارد می‌شه. مردی که وقتی می‌شینه انگار استخوان‌های بدنش آروم می‌گیرن. لبخندش می‌تونه کمی دنیا رو روشن‌تر کنه و صداش می‌تونه مطمئنت کنه که همه چی درست می‌شه. آیرایی که بچه‌ها همیشه توی اولویتشن و نفر اول صف داوطلب‌ها برای صحبت با قربانی زیر سن قانونیشه. الکل نمی‌خوره و همیشه باید در حال حرکت باشه. انگار نمی‌تونه اعضای بدنش رو متوقف کنه.
آیرایی که برای اولین بار به اورت می‌گه براش مهمه اگه حالش خوب نباشه.
حالا کسی از اورت نخواسته درمورد احساساتش راستش رو بگه.
چون مردم نمی‌خوان بدونن
مردم انقدر براشون مهم نیست که بخوان بدونن.
