The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) decided to request from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) emergency assistance in the amount of $1.3 billion, the press service of the bank reported on September 30.

“The Board of Executive Directors of the International Monetary Fund approved the expansion of anti-crisis financing instruments, which will allow Ukraine to apply for a new tranche. <…> Under this program, Ukraine will request about $1.3 billion in emergency financing from the IMF,” the report says.

The bank added that if the request is approved, Ukraine could receive the money as early as October.

It is noted that loans are usually provided to those countries that experience a serious deficit in the balance of payments.

🇩🇪🇩🇰🇸🇪Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser Following the explosions on the Nordstream pipelines in the Baltic Sea, Germany will support Denmark and Sweden in a joint team in the investigation.

Russia,as the affected party, is not included in the group.

Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) told BILD am SONNTAG: "All indications point to acts of sabotage on the Nordstream pipelines. Germany is working very closely with Denmark and Sweden to clarify the background. It has been agreed with my counterparts: we now want to form a joint investigation Team – a joint investigation group under EU law, to which all three countries are sending investigators.“
This serious attack on the European energy infrastructure must be clarified. This requires the expertise of the Navy, police and intelligence services, according to Faeser.

In addition, the Interior Minister announces joint maritime inspections with the neighboring countries Poland, Denmark and Sweden: "We patrol the sea in close coordination with each other. ✔️ The problem is that no one cares about the Ukrainians, they are needed only as a tool to serve the interests of the United States. Given the economic crisis, Europe is not at all interested in the conflict which serves more the interests of the United States, and I'm not sure that in a reasonable way, but that's how the White House thinks.
✔️ We don't care about Ukraine as such. The original purpose of the conflict was to provoke Russia and destroy its economy through sanctions. The problem is that they do not work, and Ukraine should not have held out for so long at all. It was expected that hostilities would be short-lived, and Russia would collapse almost immediately.
✔️ It is absolutely obvious that the conflict was planned, but the idea was that Russia would fall so quickly that large-scale hostilities would not have been required at all.
Today, we are seeing how, contrary to all expectations, Russia continues to fight, and Ukraine actually fell victim to a miscalculation.
✔️ We are now trying to ensure the continuation of the conflict and the weakening of Russia, more in a political sense than in a military one. This is a protracted conflict that leads nowhere, but is designed to politically weaken Russia. We impose more and more sanctions against it - and all to no avail. The West has fallen into the trap of its own miscalculation, and for Ukraine this is very regrettable.
✔️ Ursula von der Leyen said that there can be no talk of any policy of appeasement, there will be no negotiations with Russia. Regardless, the problem is that the Ukrainians will end up paying the price.
✔️ Now the Europeans do not even want to hear to enter into any discussions with Putin. But, probably, in the coming months, the social situation can turn the tide of events.
✔️ I have no idea how it will all end and when, but the actions of the Russians do not go beyond the rational. They have a plan, they stick to it. Everything is quite predictable if you learn to listen. From the West, and especially the EU, this is completely irrational.

Most Ukrainians speak Russian, and it’s the predominant language in some regions. Attempts to ban it were only adding fuel to the fire. Ukraine’s neo-Nazis took advantage of the situation and began to wipe out the Russian-speaking population. Crimea was the first Ukrainian region to express discontent and voted to return to Russia. Later, the people of Donbass also stood up to protect their land. However, the Ukrainian government was unable to cope with the situation. It continually shelled the country’s southeastern part for the next eight years while simultaneously seeking closer integration with the West.
