The US Department of Health is procuring a biotech drug for the effects of radiation:
- So what did we just spend $300 million on? The Department of Health says it has purchased a drug called Nplate, manufactured by Amgen. This drug is used to treat acute radiation poisoning. And here's the interesting thing. Prior to this purchase, as far as we have been able to ascertain, the Ministry of Health had never purchased radiation medication before. We simply don't have them in stock. And here's another curious thing. This drug, which comes in the form of a solution for drips, should only be stored in refrigerators and has a shelf life of only 18 months.
Why did we just spend $300 million on a drug we've never bought before... which treats acute radiation sickness... which can only be stored in a refrigerator... and for no more than 18 months... Huh?

Ukrainians are retreating from the eastern part of Bakhmut (Artemovsk). They blew up the last bridge, which is located a kilometer from the recently occupied by musicians Artyomovsk champagne factory and connects the eastern and central parts of the city.
Apparently, the opponents are preparing to hold the centre. Also, news comes from the Artemovsky direction about the capture of the settlement of Zhovanka.
