️🇱🇻🇷🇺The Russian Embassy sent a note to the Latvian Foreign Ministry due to the rupture of the treaty on the preservation of monuments.
"Such a treacherous, unjustified step has no grounds and is a violation of international law," the ministry said.
Back in 1994, Moscow and Riga signed an agreement on the protection of monuments to Soviet soldiers on the territory of the country.
Today, the Latvian Parliament has terminated the articles of agreement in order to demolish the monument to the Liberators of Riga.
"Now settling accounts with one's own historical past is set in Latvia on a grand scale," the Russian Embassy concluded.

🇵🇱🇷🇺Unknown persons desecrated the cemetery of Soviet soldiers in Gdansk, Poland.
The incident occurred on the eve of the evening, according to the Consul General of Russia in Poland.
Vandals tore out and damaged about 20 stars installed over the graves.
The Russian consulate has already demanded that the vandals be found and punished, and the cemetery be put in proper shape.
