Rand Paul To Introduce Bill Lifting Federal Airplane Mask Mandate

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) says that he plans to introduce legislation to nix the public transportation mask mandate that requires most passengers to wear face coverings when traveling on planes.

The story: Paul announced the bill on Twitter on Thursday. The Kentucky Republicans wrote that he intends to introduce a bill that would tackle the federal mask mandate for travelers on airplanes. He called it “a farce.”

“When the Senate returns to session, I will be introducing an immediate repeal of the mask mandate on planes. Enough! Time to stop this farce and let people travel in peace!” Paul tweeted.

https://twitter.com/RandPaul/status/1413152660191014919

The rules: The Transport Security Administration (TSA) currently mandates that all travelers on airplanes wear masks at all times, except when eating or drinking. There are exceptions for children under the age of two and people who have a medical condition that prevents them from wearing a face covering.

The current TSA mandate is set to remain in place until Sep. 13. It’s part of President Joe Biden’s executive order, which was signed on his first day in office, that requires face coverings on all public transportation, including airports and airplanes.

Worth noting: Paul has been a vocal critic of many of the pandemic-related restrictions introduced aimed at preventing the coronavirus from spreading. He has argued that people who have been fully vaccinated or those who have already contracted and recovered the virus should not be asked to wear masks.

The Center for Disease and Control says that fully vaccinated people do not have to wear face coverings in most situations.

Paul announced in May this year that he won’t be getting the COVID-19 vaccine because he recovered from the virus back in March 2020. Officials continue to maintain that everyone should get vaccinated, regardless of their history with the virus.

He also recently condemned the White House for its door-to-door vaccination strategy that’s meant to encourage people to receive a COVID-19 jab.

“The gov’t doesn’t decide who gets vaccinated. You do,” Paul tweeted.

New Evidence Indicates Enough Illegal Votes in Georgia to Tip 2020 Results: Report

A new report claims that a number of illegal votes were discovered in Georgia, that if they continue to rise they could tip the 2020 election results.

The Federalist reports that shortly after the November election, the president of Data Productions Inc. who is described as an expert in voting data analytics, Mark Davis, obtained data from the National Change of Address (NCOA) database identifying Georgia residents who confirmed that the US Postal Service.

“After excluding moves with effective dates within 30 days of the general election, and by using data available from the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office, Davis identified nearly 35,000 Georgia voters who indicated they had moved from one Georgia county to another, but then voted in the 2020 general election in the county from which they had moved,” The Federalist reported.

Davis explained that under Georgia law temporary relocations do not alter a citizen’s residency status or render their votes as inadmissible, however, as the Federalist points out, the margins are putting Biden and Trump’s results under scrutiny.

“Approximately one-third of the votes at issue could have altered the outcome of the election,” The Federalist alleges. “Yet the media, the courts, and the Secretary of State’s Office ignored or downplayed the issue.”

According to The Federalist:

“It was disconcerting to see the media and the courts largely ignore serious issues like these, especially since the data I was seeing showed very legitimate issues,” Davis said. “In fact, I heard members of the Secretary of State’s team admit some votes were cast with residency issues, but then claimed there weren’t enough of them to cast the outcome of the election in doubt,” Davis added. “That was not at all what I was seeing, and as far as I am aware the Secretary of State’s Office has never put an actual number on the ones they did see.”

While frustrated, Davis told me that he never stopped working on these issues. “In May I received an updated voter database from the Secretary of State’s office, and I imported the data and compared voter’s addresses to the NCOA information I processed in November.”

The Federalist reports that Davis ran the data and found that approximately 35,000 Georgians who said they had moved from one county to another more than 30 days before November, over 10,300 updated their voter registration information.

The analyst found that those same individuals also cast ballots in the country where they resided before the election.

“That number continues to increase every day as more and more people update their registrations,” Davis said. “I have little doubt that the total number will eventually meet and then exceed President Biden’s margin of victory in Georgia.” Davis, who has testified as an expert witness multiple times in disputed election cases, believes Trump might have won a challenge to the Georgia election results had a court actually heard his case.

“Under Georgia law, a judge can order an election be redone if he or she sees there were enough illegal, irregular, or improperly rejected votes to cast the results of the election in doubt, or if they see evidence of ‘systemic irregularities,’” Davis said.

“These issues were absolutely systemic,” Davis added, noting “they occurred in every county in the state, in every state house, state senate, and in every congressional district in the state.”

House Republicans announced an agenda aimed at limiting the influence of major technology companies (Twitter, Google, Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, etc.).

Big Tech antitrust regulation involves expedited antitrust lawsuit procedures, increased transparency of content moderation decisions, and Section 230 liability protection reforms.

"Big technology has haunted conservatives for too long," wrote Ohio Representative Jim Jordan, who is at the helm of the campaign. "The House Republican judiciary is tired."

The agenda seeks to encourage legal challenges to big tech by requiring expedited antitrust cases against big tech companies to be heard at the trial court level. The proposal would also allow appeals to the Supreme Court and allow state attorneys general to expedite cases.

State by State Election Roundup

▪️In Arizona, the state Senate is conducting a forensic audit of Maricopa county's November election. Currently, the audit is looking at presidential and senate races, but it could be expanded to other races. Results are expected later this summer.

▪️The Pennsylvania senate just began an election audit of three counties: Tioga, York and Philadelphia. State officials are already erecting roadblocks to hamper the audit.

▪️The Wisconsin state senate has commissioned an investigation of the election, hiring 3 retired law enforcement officers to look into thousands of complaints and tips received since November. (This investigation is not an audit.)

▪️In Michigan, Matt DePerno is uncovering election fraud through a lawsuit filed in Antrim county. Most state officials are fighting calls for an audit.

▪️In Georgia, private citizens have filed lawsuits in several counties and are working to uncover enough fraud to compel state officials to authorize an audit.

▪️In Washington, state Rep Robert Sutherland is scheduling public hearings to gather evidence of election irregulatities.

▪️In New Hampshire, the town of Windham conducted an audit but there has been no interest by state officials in authorizing a larger one.

‘It’s Going to Shock the Country’ — Steve Bannon Speaks on Arizona Audit

Former White House adviser Steve Bannon dropped quite a few bombs about the Arizona election audit.

During an interview on his War Room podcast, Bannon spoke with the Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson about the audit finishing up in Maricopa County.

Bannon teased that he thinks something “big” is about to be revealed in Arizona.

“What do you think the timing of this is? What is your best idea now of timing? Because that’s the domino,” Bannon began.

“Whether it’s a letter of Karen Fann to Maricopa County, whether it’s a subpoena to get more information? Her first salvo in this I think is going to shock the country. I think we’re going to get, I think we may get an actual interim letter from Karen Fann before the final report,” he added.

“I know they’re working on the final report. But I think that’s going to be something that’s a formal process because that’s what they said they were going to do as a report. I think there’s going to be shots fired from the state senate with some pretty definitive numbers saying, Hey, we’re confused here, to Maricopa County,” he added.

The GOP-controlled Arizona Legislature has voted to revoke the Democratic Secretary of State Katie Hobbs’ legal authority in election-related lawsuits, handing that power to the attorney general.

The measure was included in major budget legislation, including several actions revolving around the election.

It now goes to Republican Gov. Doug Ducey, who has the power to accept or reject individual parts of the measure.

Attorney General Mark Brnovich has sparred with Hobbs before over election lawsuits.

Brnovich recently accused Hobbs of not adequately defending the state against election-related lawsuits.

The bill approved Thursday gives Brnovich’s office exclusive control of such lawsuits, but only through Jan. 2, 2023

‘F...k Him,” Rupert Murdoch Said Of Donald Trump When Fox News Called Arizona For Biden, Book Says

When Fox News called Arizona for Joe Biden it ended any chance of Donald Trump winning the 2020 presidential election in the eyes of the network and was so controversial that many longtime viewers of Fox News abandoned the network.

It was also so controversial that the man at the Decision Desk who made the call, Chris Stirewalt, was later fired.

But, according to a new book, the decision came from a person much higher at the network than fall guy Stirewalt, and that was the owner of Fox News, Rupert Murdoch, Business Insider reported.

In his new book, “Landslide: The Final Days of the Trump Presidency,” author Michael Wolff detailed what he said happened.

Wolff wrote that Murdoch’s son Lachlan, the CEO of Fox Corporation, got a call from the network’s election-data operation shortly after 11 p.m. ET on election night saying it was ready to declare Arizona for Biden.

The book noted that the Murdochs — who spearhead a vast right-wing media empire — had “every reason” to delay calling Arizona at the time, given Fox’s steadfast allegiance to Trump and the fact that no other network had made the call yet.

“Lachlan got his father on the phone to ask if he wanted to make the early call. His father, with signature grunt, assented, adding, ‘F— him,'” in reference to Trump, Wolff said in the book.

But Fox Media has denied the reporting in the book to Business Insider after it published the story.

“This account is completely false,” it said. “Arnon Mishkin who leads the FOX News Decision Desk made the Arizona call on election night and FOX News Media President Jay Wallace was then called in the control room. Any other version of the story is wildly inaccurate.”

It is important to note that Wolff has had issues in the past, with his previous book on the Trump administration being scrutinized by fact checkers and reporters who said that some of the details in the book did not add up.

Wolff said that when the network decided to make the call on Arizona that anchor Bill Hemmer told Trump’s lead social-media strategist, Jason Miller who had a furious response.

“Miller involuntarily rose from his seat. ‘What the f—?’ he said out loud, looking around and seeing the still-merry and untroubled faces in the Map Room,” he said.

“That’s what they’re doing. That’s what they’re going with,” Hemmer reportedly said, according to Wolff’s account.

“Who?” Miller asked.

“The election desk,” Hemmer said, adding that the network’s decision was going to be aired imminently, the book said.

In a statement to Insider, a Fox News spokesperson denied the Hemmer anecdote, saying: “This never happened and is completely untrue.”

The Trump campaign was infuriated with the decision by Fox News, according to the book.

“What the f—? How can they call this?” Trump said, Wolff reported. “We’re winning. And everybody can see we are going to win. Everybody’s calling to say that we’re winning. And then they pull this?”

In January 2021 Stirewalt appeared on MSNBC and told host Chris Hayes what it was like after the network made the call.

“We were kind of out there by ourselves, and through that process we became a focus of all of this rage, all of this anger,” he said.

“A lot of people have grown accustomed to being flattered by their news outlets,” he said.

“It was long after any calls were made that I had any idea that this was a huge deal or that people were freaking out or all that stuff,” Stirewalt said.

“I would not understand the magnitude of the anger on the right about this for some time,” he said.

“It was not just a matter that they were unhappy or disagreed with it, it was a matter of real anger and spoke to me about the depth of the problem,” he said.
