I believe the Bible is true.

Yet, to think that the Bible holds ALL truths that exist as it pertains to God, Jesus, the stars, the earth, the universe and our intimate design and role in this universe is just .... Wild.

Of course it doesn't. I believe most of the Bible is metaphorical, if not all of it. The stories chosen transcend time and can be applied in all of our lives because they show something very simple and very clear: God works in and through us in a way that makes the MOST sense to us on an individual level.

Think of the fishermen. There are many examples of this. In fact, the whole Bible is an example of this.

Jesus meditated. Yet we are told to be weary of those who meditate?

Jesus didn't conform to the church of his age, yet we are told to conform?

Jesus was a revolutionary. Yet we are told to mind our Ps and Q's?

No. I refuse to ignore the calling God has placed in my heart. I pray every single day for his guidance and wisdom. I take time alone without distraction to pray and to seek his insights.

We learn about the holy spirit yet it's blasphemy in the church to actually be spiritual?

No. That's not for me. That's not for you.

God is greater than you've been programmed to believe. The Bible is like a single word in the encyclopedia of knowledge that exists about God.

We all have words, images, visions, prophesies, pieces of this greater myriad of puzzles. God has existed since the beginning of the beginnings.

We know NOTHING yet. The more you realize this, the more humble you become and the less you are likely to believe everything every other human tells you.

You begin to throw off the structures of forced patterns of thoughts and behaviors.

Jesus was our example of this. He listened to NO ONE on this earth. He listened to God.

And here's a secret: just about every religion out there has a Jesus figure in their history. This is again because God speaks to us in ways we understand him best. He's not out to offend, so he found a way to speak with us within our current frame of understanding.

You don't have to believe me. If this causes unrest, just pray to God for wisdom and guidance and cast off your doubts. Ignore me if you must.
