For anyone looking to celebrate the 12 Days of Yule, they begin on December 20th with Mothers Night and carry on through to the first of the new year with Yule Night.
For me, honoring these ancient traditions rooted in the Natural Cycles of our Earth and the turning of the Wheel feel much more like Home to me than the commercializedChristmasmayhem that seems to pervade society. I’ll be sharing some things that Resonate for me this year as we go.
Please feel free to share what Resonates for you as I think there’s real magic in sharing the things we Love.

“Today, December 20th is Mother’s Night, the official beginning of the celebration of Yule. Yule is a twelve-day festival that was celebrated in ancient times.
This is the day known as Mōdraniht in Old English, and “Mother’s Night” in modern. It is one of my favorite days of the year. Today we honor and offer thanks to our female ancestors, those who are believed to watch over our families and help us in times of need. These figures are known in Norse mythology as The Disir. Many people chose to give their direct maternal line ancestors high honors on this night.”

We’ve covered a lot over the years, and I’m going to repeat something here bc I think it’s very important to understand as we pass through the gateway to the 12 Days of Yule…

As you probably already know, tomorrow, December 21st, is the Winter Solstice. This is the point on the Wheel of the Year where the Dark of Night is longest and the Light of Day is the shortest. We are literally in the pit of Darkness. The Underworld, as far as the Cycle of the Year goes.
At this point, the Sun appears to come to a standstill for 3 days. The word “solstice” in Latin actually means that the sun stops. Solar = sun and sisto or sistere = stop or to set up.
Now, connect the concept that the Sun lies in a tomb for 3 days. It is the end of the Light and ALSO its beginning as it is Born again after this transition. This is the Nature of the Wheel at work.
The End is the Beginning.
Always.
The Sun, which is quite literally our Savior in physical terms, is Born to start a New Year and to, once again, show us the path of Enlightenment and the course of Life itself. From Birth to Death, the Wheel shows us all.
As the SunSon is Born and the days get longer, it rises up as Capricorn, the Goat. Eager and sure-footed, climbing up out of the Darkness and bringing us towards the promised Spring where the Earth will burst forth with Life and Energy at the Vernal Equinox.
As a young ram in Aries, it will be headstrong and eager to start new things. The Earth becomes impregnated with life and vitality and carries that through the height of the Summer Solstice. As it reaches the sign of Leo (obviously I’m greatly condensing all of this) it reaches the maturity of its power and strength. The firey mane of the great Lion shines forth as a sign for all to see his halo of power.
Not long after, however, the Sun reaches the scales of Libra and at the Autumn Equinox we Fall again into another Winter as the Light fades and the Darkness grows. The Sun will be stung by the tail of Scorpio and finished off by Sagittarius’ arrow and will once again end up in the tomb.
And the Wheel will continue to turn.
Please know that the mythology we’ve been taught has always been a way to convey deep, Natural Truths that hold Divine meaning. Unfortunately, those stories have been twisted and the keys to their understanding have been hidden from us such that we’ve been left with fairy tales we are told are literal and historical, when they actually hold much more beautiful messages for us.
All of these myths and allegories have many, many layers of meaning and the symbology embedded within them takes a lifetime (or many) to unpack and understand - to gain Gnosis of all of it.
I wish you well on your Journey. May the Great Spirit that flows through All guide you in all your endeavors and may your Yuletide be Blessed.
In Love,
~TR ✨💖✨

“I wanted to wish you all a Blessed Mother Night tonight as we are in the DEEPEST DARKEST currents of the Dark of the Sun right now. The night before the Winter Solstice is the night the Great Mother goes into labor to birth/rebirth the Sun- which is why we call it Mother Night. The Christmas song 'Silent Night, Holy Night' is a song for Mother Night- as it is out of the deepest peace and silence of the end of a previous Solar Cycle that the new one is born/reborn. (In the Christmas tradition this song is seen as connected to Christmas eve December 24th)
Tomorrow early morning at 4:20am EST the Sun moves into Capricorn and comes to the stillest point in his orbital path. He will no longer move any lower in the sky at solar noon and appears to come to a standstill for 3 days. From December 21st through December 24th the Sun stands still at the southern declination of 23 degrees 26 minutes and then starts to move by 1 minute on December 24th and then by 2 minutes on December 25th. With technology we can see this but with the naked eye it is imperceptible.
This portal of December 21st through December 24th is a time to stand still ourselves. It is a time to pause, retreat, reflect and take time to go within. It is a time to be silent and to be still like the Great Mother and her son the Sun. Of course in this modern day and age this is typically a time filled with parties, gatherings, travel, shopping and more! Nature tells us to pause and be still, but contemporary culture says to do the opposite.
If you can find some time to anchor into stillness and silence in the coming days I highly recommend it. This is one of the holiest times of the year- but it could pass you by if you busy yourself so much that you miss out on the magic that only gets tapped when you turn your attention inward.
For those of you in the Southern Hemisphere- this is the moment of Summer Solstice. Both Solstices are standstill moments- but the Summer Solstice is the standstill point of the Highest Light of the Sun. If the Winter Solstice is the moment of rebirth in the darkness, Summer Solstice is the moment of Union with the Highest Light. I conceive of the first half of the Solar Cycle from Winter Solstice to Summer Solstice as the part of the cycle that is about ascension and reaching for the Highest Light. And from Summer Solstice to Winter Solstice it is about descension and embodiment- bringing that Light all the way down and in. The Solar Cycle mirrors our own journeys of birth, death and rebirth, ascension and descension, enlightenment and embodiment.
May you feel the grace and love of the Great Mother carry you in these deep and holy times.”

May you find peace in the promise of the long Solstice Night,
Knowing each day is blessed with more Light.
That the cycle of Nature, unbroken and true,
Brings Faith to your Soul and well-being to you.
Rejoice in the Darkness,
In its Silence find rest,
And may all your days be abundantly Blessed.

This winter solstice will mark not only the end of a year and the beginning of a new one, but with all the outer planets (Pluto, Uranus, Neptune) about to be in different signs in 2025, it will also feel like the end of an entire era and the beginning of a new one.
Since it’s the end of an era, do not be surprised if sadness, grief, or old memories arise. Long-standing karmic patterns will end while the seeds for a new future are being planted.
You must let go of the person you were so you can be reborn into this new self.
Embrace the metamorphosis.
A more authentic version of you is waiting for you on the other side of this death and rebirth process.

Break the Chain
“You are being called to heal your family line or free yourself from living the life of your ancestors. This could mean letting go of an old pattern of your maternal or paternal line. Healing trauma from the past that is not even yours or observing old ways of being that no longer serve you.”
“We carry emotional trauma in our luminous field for up to seven generations back. This is why family patterns can be the hardest to break. Often, they are not even ours to begin with. But we do not know another way of being and so we continue playing out the drama.”
“The thing to notice when ancestral healing comes up is that you cannot heal another person, but your own healing can cause another person to choose to heal. You are being guided now to look at your life and decide how you want it to be…”
