For those lazy ones and wondering "maybe it's not that bad after all" here is a logo of the band.
In any other country, any other... this would have been followed with a complete and utter seppuku by the whole government. But not in Ukraine... not for the friends of the 'civilized west'.

One of the subscribers wanted to post this video on my subreddit. It has been circulating around the internet for some time now. After the capturing of The Azovstal it has began to circulate anew but it looks like it was already present on Youtube in 2017. Some say it was seen as early as 2015 but I couldn't find evidence of that.
Anyway sometimes ignorant yet suspicious (and it's good to be a sus one) public say:
"Well, it's hard to tell who is firing at whom, maybe those are Russians trying to setup the Ukraine side or maybe those are Ukrainians firing at the Donbass separatist."
Yeah, but we can investigate the case a bit:
1. Current instance of the video is posted by W.M. MyWay, judging by his other vids he has a soft spot for "The Right Sector"
2. After posting the current vid W.M. MyWay posted other videos of what looks like of the same trench:
In the first one you can hear and see:
▪️The Ukrainian speech and accents,
▪️The Talk of "separatist",
▪️The guy with the periscope is a fascist from the Rigth Sector by the nickname "Sever" (Kazantsev Evgeniy Victorovich, a Russian citizen who was fighting for Ukraine against Donbass. In 2022 by the Kursk region police he was identified among Ukrainian prisoners of war, here is his testimony and confession, an article about the event (Russian language))
▪️There is a strange installation or a rig of some sorts near the soldiers covered with a yellow bag (looks like a try pod for the machine gun from the video with a nazi flag)
▪️A camouflaged net of the same style to the right of the covered rig which again can be seen in the original video with a nazi flag.
In the second video you can see
▪️a soldier using a machine gun next to what might be the same rig which was used in the original video
▪️at the end the same soldier using the other more heavy machine gun on the same rig (which looks the same as the gun from the original video).
This is just a meager attempt at an investigation... and from the data available with high degree of certainty it can already be inferred that the Ukrainians did use that flag during the combat with Donbass rebels.
P.S.
So... when DPR says that it saw nazi flags waving on the Ukraine side, well it might very well be the truth.
Just like this video of another such event: 03.05.2019 Ukrainian Army raised the flag of the German fascists over their positions in the village of Marinka near Donetsk, where the occupiers set up firing points in residential buildings.

Le Monde Diplomatique: Ukraine honors the responsible for killing 100,000 Jews in 1917 pogroms, 2020
quote:
"""
Representatives of the government of Ukraine unveiled a bust in Kiev’s Petliura Street on 21 January 2019 to honor Symon Petliura (after whom the street is named), commander in chief of Ukraine’s nationalist forces 1918-20. Ukraine authorities consider him a national hero, and he already had a statue in Vinnytsia, a city southwest of Kiev, unveiled in October 2017.
Petliura was responsible for pogroms in which some 100,000 Jews were killed, during the civil war after the 1917 Russian Revolution between the Bolsheviks and the White (counter-revolutionary) armies in the former tsarist empire. Some opponents of the Bolshevik revolution regarded it as a Jewish plot and every Jew as a covert communist. There were about 1,500 pogroms in Russia, Belarus and especially Ukraine.
"""
▪️ An interesting bit about the "Petliura Days" from a wiki article on 1941 pogroms:

A second pogrom took place in the last days of July 1941 and was called "Petliura Days" after the assassinated Ukrainian leader Symon Petliura. The killings were organized with German encouragement, while Ukrainian militants from outside the city joined the fray with farm tools.

Ukraine: far-right extremists at core of ‘democracy’ protest
As violent scenes play out on the streets of Kiev, we look at the major role extremist right-wing movements have played in Ukraine's "pro-democracy" movement.

An interview (sorry no English*) with Oleksiy Arestovych, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, explained why, knowing in advance about the "attack" of Russia, the country's leadership did not begin the evacuation of civilians. According to him, this would greatly complicate the work of the army.
Arestovich, who worked in the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, explains the absence of the evacuation of civilians in simple terms.
quote:
======
Announcing the evacuation in connection with the pending Russian invasion would cause mass panic. A huge flow of people of 10-12 million people would try to hastily leave the country.
Such an influx of civilians would completely paralyze the movement of the army, which must quickly advance and take up defense. All the bridges on the left-bank part of the country would be blocked, which would be a very good situation for the Russian military leadership.
The only way out in this situation would be to push tanks and shoot your own citizens to get through the bridges
======
Thus the timely evacuation was not announced.
*looks like the Western Media is not interested enough to translate it

BBC: The rise of Ukraine's ultra-nationalists to power. 2012
The Ukraine nazism didn't just happen in 2022. It all brew long before all this "Russian aggression of 2014" thing.
quote:
Ukraine's ultra-nationalist party, Svoboda, was a shock winner in October's parliamentary election, capturing 10% of the vote and entering the legislature for the first time. How radical is it?*
*and that is a good question, which was answered by the western media themselves: it's a neo-nazi party.
P.S. On the photo is one of the many fights in the Ukrainian Parliament. In the center you can see a neo-nazi Ihor Miroshnychenko — a member of Svoboda neo-nazi parliament party.
The still is quite renaissancy, don't you think?

Traditional Anti-Semitism in Ukraine: A Case Study on MAUP
=======quote:======
The Interregional Academy of Personnel Management, a private institution in Ukraine commonly known by the acronym MAUP, is one of the most persistent anti-Semitic institutions in Eastern Europe. MAUP, which receives significant funding from overseas, is a vocational college that claims to have more than 50,000 students enrolled at campuses in various branches throughout Ukraine and in Eastern Europe.
It publishes a monthly journal, Personnel, and a weekly newspaper, Personnel Plus, which are the subjects of an ongoing criminal investigation by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office. In 2007, MAUP accounted for nearly 90% of all anti-Semitic material published in Ukraine.
▫️In an effort to clamp-down on MAUP’s extremist activities, in March 2006 the Government of Ukraine closed 7 affiliated schools out of approximately 50 across Ukraine, because of “unspecified licensing violations;”
▫️the Government of Ukraine closed down 30 more schools before the September 27, 2006 commemoration of the Babyn Yar massacre (the site of the death of 33,171 Jews at the hands of the Nazis in September 1941).
▫️In November 2006, Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko issued a presidential order to the Security Service of Ukraine and Ministry of Science and Education to investigate manifestations of xenophobia at MAUP.
▫️In February 2007, following MAUP’s successful appeal to the Kyiv Commercial Court, the Ministry of Education was ordered to restore the licenses of 26 regional branches.
▫️In May 2007, the mayor of Kyiv responded to the opening of a MAUP bookstand selling anti-Semitic literature near the Babyn Yar massacre memorial site by closing it and promising to close other MAUP bookstands in the city. MAUP filed a lawsuit against the mayor for his order to remove the bookstand.
▫️At the end of 2007, this lawsuit still was pending.

=======quote:======

In 2005, for example, MAUP became world-famous for inviting American Ku Klux Klansman David Duke (holds a rank of the Grand Wizard) to give lectures there; Mr. Duke later received his PhD degree in history from this “Academy.”

Haaretz(Israel): Expert on the far-right music scene is shocked how open a Ukraine neo-nazis festival is, 2019
quote:
Up to 1,500 attending a gig in Kiev headlined by neo-Nazi group. Even an expert on the far-right music scene is shocked how open Fortress Europe is being.
Johnson, a doctoral candidate at the University of Cambridge, says she sees a “huge difference” between the Fortress Europe concert and similar neo-Nazi events across Europe, especially in Germany.... they don’t operate as openly as Fortress Europe, explains Johnson.
P.S. It's interesting that the organizer this festival (a neonazi band Sekira Peruna) was seen together with the Ukraine Prime bloody Minister. =>

The Telegraph (UK): Kiev throws openly neo-Nazi paramilitary into the front of the battle with the Donbass rebels, 2014
quote:
=======
As Ukraine’s armed forces tighten the noose around pro-Russian separatists in the east of the country, the western-backed government in Kiev is throwing militia groups – some openly neo-Nazi - into the front of the battle.
...
But Kiev’s use of volunteer paramilitaries to stamp out the Russian-backed Donetsk and Luhansk “people’s republics”, proclaimed in eastern Ukraine in March, should send a shiver down Europe’s spine. Recently formed battalions such as Donbas, Dnipro and Azov, with several thousand men under their command, are officially under the control of the interior ministry but their financing is murky, their training inadequate and their ideology often alarming.
...
Ukraine’s government is unrepentant about using the neo-Nazis. “The most important thing is their spirit and their desire to make Ukraine free and independent,” said Anton Gerashchenko*, an adviser to Arsen Avakov, the interior minister. “A person who takes a weapon in his hands and goes to defend his motherland is a hero. And his political views are his own affair.”
=======end of quote=======
P.S. the article mentions the city of Urzuf as AZOV's HQ. There are some 2022 photo and video materials from this HQ (already captured by the Russian/DPR/LPR forces):
▫️a video tour around the base and its internals; (Ukraine uber alles and other mottos on the walls)
▫️some photos from the inside; (some swastikas)
▫️in this video (first second of it) you can see the same colorful gates as in the main photo of the Telegraph's article;
▫️I'm not sure but this too could have been filmed in Urzuf. In it Azov nazis salute and worship pagan gods.
*The guy is responsible for a peculiar "Institution of the Ukrainian democracy" of which you can read here:

Newsweek: Ukraine bans a book about the Ukrainian national leader and the perpetrator of the anti-Semitic pogroms -- Symon Petliura, 2018
quote:
"Earlier in December, Ukraine's State Committee on Television and Radio Broadcasting banned Swedish historian Anders Rydell's Book of Thieves. The book critically analyzed the actions of Ukrainian nationalist Symon Petliura, whose forces killed large numbers of Jews in the early 20th century."

"Ukraine’s State Committee on Television and Radio Broadcasting banned the “Book of Thieves” by Swedish historian Anders Rydell.
The ban is due to Rydell’s analysis of the actions of Symon Petliura — nationalist whose troops murdered countless Jews in pogroms.
“The whole book ban is very symbolic” said Ukrainian Jewish Committee Director Eduard Dolinsky. Both communist and Nazi authorities systematically banned books.

This is a continuation of the Ukraine war on books:
Quoting the twitter of the author of "The Book Thieves":
@AndersRydell: Ukraine has blacklisted my book ”The Book Thieves” for my denoscription of the pogroms against Jews after world war one. Its something of a irony that a book about looting and destruction of the written word gets banned.
▫️ A Wiki page about Anders Rydell.
There is another article about Symon Petliura and about Ukraine making monuments in his honor:
▫️Times of Israel: Ukraine erects a memorial to an organizer of Ukraine pogroms that killed around 15 000 -- 35 000 of Jews. 2017
Another book about the true nazi face of the their national heroes was banned in Ukraine:
▫ The Guardian: Leading British historian is utterly outraged by prohibition of his book in Ukraine, over passage detailing wartime murder of Jewish children by Ukrainian militia, 2018
