October 7-11
▪️After leaving Lyman and Kupyansk, Russian troops were able to delay the AFU offensive and dig in on the borders of Tavilzhanka — Vilshana — Orlyanske and Raihorodka — Kreminna.
▪️On October 7, Cossacks of the 208th Cossack regiment made an audacious raid on Ukrainian positions in Dibrova. During the fightings, the AFU suffered losses and withdrew from the settlement.
▪️On the same day, units of the 14th separate mech brigade tried to storm the Russian Armed Forces' positions in Tavilzhanka. Russian troops repulsed the attack and destroyed several units of enemy armored vehicles.
▪️Due to failures in the Tavilzhanka area, the AFU command focused on crashing into the Russian Armed Forces' defence at the Vilshana - Pershotravneve line, trying to break through to the Troitske — Pokrovske — Nova Duvanka — Svatove line.
▪️There are several thousand AFU fighters concentrated on the Lyman — Svatove sector. The Ukrainian reconnaissance groups has repeatedly tried to implement attacks in Kreminna, but they all ended in failure.
▪️On the night of October 10-11, Ukrainian units attempted to storm Russian positions in the Kreminna area. However, Russian Armed Forces' units not only repulsed the offensive, but also launched a counterattack.
▪️During the battle, Russian units managed to take the settlements of Terny and Novosadove. The units defending them, 66th mech brigade and 111st separate territorial defence brigade, were ejected and pushed back from settlements.
▪️Despite AFU's efforts to break through to Svatove and Kreminna, Russian Armed Forces were able to slow down the onslaught and stabilize the front. The Russian command continues to transfer reserves to the front line, engineering brigades are erecting fortifications for defence.

Rybar makes an interesting observation based on yesterday's results. Their analysis shows that the key targets were TPPs and substations with a voltage level of 330kV.
"At the same time, not a single strike was launched against 750kV facilities, nuclear or hydroelectric power plants".
This clearly demonstrates that the raid was not aimed at total destruction of Ukraine's unified energy system, but at causing limited damage to it".
However, it was enough for Ukraine to stop exporting electricity to the EU.
However, such attacks would need to continue in order to affect the combat effectiveness of the AFU and disrupt military logistics.

— Of course, those are obvious benefits for the US, although it looks like American people don’t see any fruits of this transfer of wealth and increased markets for US products (including natural gas). Looks like most of the profits just end in pockets of those who are already rich.
We don’t know what did the U.S.A. do to provoke Russian invasion of Ukraine. Yes, they were among those who started this conflict back in 2014 by supporting street rebels against legitimate government. Yes, they kept supporting Ukrainian government and turning eyes away from all their controversial actions even without any public or private reprimands.
We can only guess what was the final straw that made Putin give the order. Atrocities in Donbass have continued for 8 years and he had all time in the world to intervene earlier. So while this was the official reason and it was a good and valid reason, the actual reason for choosing this specific time and method of intervention must indeed like somewhere else. Maybe it was ignorance towards Russian demands of NATO containment.
Maybe it was about Zelensky’s speech in Munich where he mentioned a possibility of getting nuclear weapons for Ukraine. Maybe it was some covert secret related to U.S. biological weapon labs in Ukraine, which are still not explained.
We can’t be sure that the U.S. did provoke the special operation of Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine, but we can be sure that the U.S. did all they could to extend the conflict and inflict maximum damage to Russia without actually becoming a side of the conflict. We can be sure that Ukraine has NATO weapons and NATO military advisors and well, they wouldn’t be there without approval of US.
U.S. views about ending this conflict are quite intriguing. Even if their media screams otherwise, the decision makers surely know that there are no chances for Russian defeat without direct NATO intervention and such intervention would result in new World War.
They know that they need to weaken Europe as potential competitor, but they don’t need to to destroy it because it must stay as market for their products and resources. There must be some point when they will say “enough” to their puppets.
The question is, when will this point come. American people are already questioning continued weapon supplies to Ukraine and excessful attention to the issue in times of numerous domestic problems. In fact, most Americans wouldn’t be able to show Ukraine on the map and this conflict doesn’t touch them personally despite all media attempts to incite their emotions.
They are as indifferent about Ukraine as they were about Iraq, Afghanistan and millions other conflicts with U.S. involvement. As long as it doesn’t touch them personally, they don’t care.
They care more about increasing gas prices than about anything that is happening in the Eastern Hemisphere. Most Americans don’t bother to look deeper into roots and specifics this conflict simply because they are not interested.
They just repeat what they see on mainstream channels and it’s not because they are all stupid but because they are not interested. The Ukrainian conflict is as irrelevant for American masses as some conflict in Myanmar would be irrelevant for Russian masses.

▪️ At the same time, yesterday, in the 35th AFU Brigade, several dozen men of the 137th Battalion refused to advance on #Bruskinskoye. And on 5 October, 66 servicemen of the 88th Battalion left #Belogorka on their own. The main reason for refusing orders was to send the men to slaughter.
▪️ Ukrainian Forces are busy crossing the #Ingulets river to supply the Ukrainian grouping. Another pontoon has been erected north of Davydov Brod, reducing work elsewhere.
▪️ Ammunition was delivered to the vicinity of Belaya Krinitsa and an AN/TPQ-50 counterbattery radar was deployed near #Andreevka.

⚡️ Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine (October 12, 2022)
Part 1 (read Part 2)
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.
◽️ Main effort of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) at Kupyansk direction was concentrated on capturing the settlement of Kislovka attacked by 3 Ukrainian company tactical groups and foreign mercenaries simultaneously from 3 directions.
◽️ The enemy succeeded in wedging into the defence and reaching the western suburbs of the settlement.
💥 Intense action of our forces and concentrated fire of Russian artillery have resulted in dislodging the Ukrainian units from the suburbs of Kislovka, scattering and driving them back to their initial positions.
◽️ The positions of Russian units at the forefront have been recovered.
◽️ Moreover, the enemy was made unsuccessful attempts to launch an offensive by up to 3 companies towards Tabayevka, Orlyanka (Kharkov region) and Kuzemovka (LPR).
◽️ All the attacks have been successfully repelled by Russian forces.
◽️ Total casualties suffered by the AFU and mercenaries at the abovementioned direction constitute over 100 personnel, 4 tanks, 3 infantry combat vehicles and 3 Turkish-manufactured Kirpi armoured personnel carriers.
💥 New unsuccessful enemy's attempts to cross Zherebets river have been prevented near Raygorodok, Karmazinovka, Rozovka, Makeyevka and Novolyubovka (LPR) at Krasny Liman direction.
◽️ Up to 3 infantry combat vehicles, 2 armoured motor vehicles and about 60 Ukrainian personnel have been eliminated.
💥 Russian units have repelled an attempt of the AFU to launch an attack by manpower of up to a platoon supported by vehicles near Novodarovka at Zaporozhye direction.
◽️ 7 Ukrainian personnel and 1 armoured motor vehicle have been eliminated.
💥 The enemy made attempts to launch an attack by up to 2 battalions at Novovoskresenskoye, Velikaya Aleksandrovka and Sukhanovo (Kherson region) at Krivoy Rog direction.
◽️ Russian units have successfully repelled all the attacks.
◽️ 1 tank, 16 armoured combat vehicles, 4 motor vehicles and over 70 Ukrainian personnel have been eliminated.
💥 Russian forces have launched a fire attack at the AFU units that were redeploying to launch attacks towards Kostromka and Ishchenka (Kherson region) at Andreyevka direction.
◽️ 2 tanks, 3 armoured motor vehicles, 5 pickups and over 90 Ukrainian personnel have been eliminated.
◽️ Moreover, pre-emptive fire attack has resulted in the destruction of 4 AFU ferries detected by reconnaissance units across Ingulets river and frustration of redeployment of Ukrainian reserve forces to the operations area.
💥 Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery have neutralised AFU command posts near Velikaya Kostromka (Dnepropetrovsk region), Konstantinovka (DPR) and Lezhino (Zaporozhye region), 41 artillery units at their firing positions, 156 manpower and military equipment concentration areas.
◽️ The headquarters of Right Sector nationalist group, 1 signal station of Azov nationalist group and 2 provisional bases of foreign mercenaries have been neutralised near Zaporozhye.

Part 1 (read Part 2)
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.
◽️ Main effort of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) at Kupyansk direction was concentrated on capturing the settlement of Kislovka attacked by 3 Ukrainian company tactical groups and foreign mercenaries simultaneously from 3 directions.
◽️ The enemy succeeded in wedging into the defence and reaching the western suburbs of the settlement.
💥 Intense action of our forces and concentrated fire of Russian artillery have resulted in dislodging the Ukrainian units from the suburbs of Kislovka, scattering and driving them back to their initial positions.
◽️ The positions of Russian units at the forefront have been recovered.
◽️ Moreover, the enemy was made unsuccessful attempts to launch an offensive by up to 3 companies towards Tabayevka, Orlyanka (Kharkov region) and Kuzemovka (LPR).
◽️ All the attacks have been successfully repelled by Russian forces.
◽️ Total casualties suffered by the AFU and mercenaries at the abovementioned direction constitute over 100 personnel, 4 tanks, 3 infantry combat vehicles and 3 Turkish-manufactured Kirpi armoured personnel carriers.
💥 New unsuccessful enemy's attempts to cross Zherebets river have been prevented near Raygorodok, Karmazinovka, Rozovka, Makeyevka and Novolyubovka (LPR) at Krasny Liman direction.
◽️ Up to 3 infantry combat vehicles, 2 armoured motor vehicles and about 60 Ukrainian personnel have been eliminated.
💥 Russian units have repelled an attempt of the AFU to launch an attack by manpower of up to a platoon supported by vehicles near Novodarovka at Zaporozhye direction.
◽️ 7 Ukrainian personnel and 1 armoured motor vehicle have been eliminated.
💥 The enemy made attempts to launch an attack by up to 2 battalions at Novovoskresenskoye, Velikaya Aleksandrovka and Sukhanovo (Kherson region) at Krivoy Rog direction.
◽️ Russian units have successfully repelled all the attacks.
◽️ 1 tank, 16 armoured combat vehicles, 4 motor vehicles and over 70 Ukrainian personnel have been eliminated.
💥 Russian forces have launched a fire attack at the AFU units that were redeploying to launch attacks towards Kostromka and Ishchenka (Kherson region) at Andreyevka direction.
◽️ 2 tanks, 3 armoured motor vehicles, 5 pickups and over 90 Ukrainian personnel have been eliminated.
◽️ Moreover, pre-emptive fire attack has resulted in the destruction of 4 AFU ferries detected by reconnaissance units across Ingulets river and frustration of redeployment of Ukrainian reserve forces to the operations area.
💥 Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery have neutralised AFU command posts near Velikaya Kostromka (Dnepropetrovsk region), Konstantinovka (DPR) and Lezhino (Zaporozhye region), 41 artillery units at their firing positions, 156 manpower and military equipment concentration areas.
◽️ The headquarters of Right Sector nationalist group, 1 signal station of Azov nationalist group and 2 provisional bases of foreign mercenaries have been neutralised near Zaporozhye.

💥 1 storage of fuel for Ukrainian military equipment has been destroyed near Nikolayev.
💥 1 Ukrainian Buk-M1 air defence missile system has been destroyed near Shevchenkovo (Nikolayev region).
💥 Fighter aviation of Russian Aerospace Forces has shot down 1 Su-24 airplane of Ukrainian Air Force near Khristoforovka (Nikolayev region).
◽️ 1 Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter has been shot down near Velikaya Aleksandrovka (Kherson region).
💥 Air defence facilities have destroyed 4 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near Novaya Kamenka, Sadok (Kherson region), Yavkino (Nikolayev region) and Polnoye (Donetsk People's Republic).
◽️ 12 projectiles launched by HIMARS MLRS have been intercepted near Burgunka (Kherson region) and Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.
📊 In total, 319 airplanes and 161 helicopters, 2,199 unmanned aerial vehicles, 380 air defence missile systems, 5,677 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 868 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 3,465 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 6,496 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.

The situation in the Zaporozhye direction

The Ukrainian command is completing preparations for a counteroffensive in the Zaporozhye direction. The Armed Forces of Ukraine need to regain control over the nuclear power plant before the onset of cold weather, as well as cut off the overland supply route for the Russian group in the south.
There is a high probability that sabotage and assault groups of marines will be thrown into the Energodar region both from Nikopol and Zolotoy Balka. Currently, water is being discharged in the Kakhovka reservoir, which may damage coastal barriers.
▪️A platoon of the 65th separate mechanized brigade of the reserve corps, with artillery fire support, conducted reconnaissance in battle in the Novodarovka area. The RF Armed Forces repelled the attacks, killing seven people and one armored fighting vehicle.
Formations of the 65th brigade, together with the 102nd brigade of the TRO, are digging in in the Dorozhnyanka area. Subversive groups of formations intend to carry out an attack on Russian positions in the direction of Marfopol.
▪️Special forces of the Marine Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue training on the landing of tactical troops on an unequipped coast. This morning, three Ukrainian boats passed through the lock of the Dnieper hydroelectric power station in the direction of the shipyard after working out tasks in Volnoandreevka.
The plant itself has not been functioning for a long time and there are no workers on it. The enterprise a few months ago turned into the headquarters of Ukrainian units and foreign mercenaries.
▪️Units of the 9th Special Purpose Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine carry out maintenance of artillery pieces in preparation for the assault on Russian borders.
▪️Informants from the so-called "National Resistance Forces" are actively operating behind the lines of the Russian army in the Zaporozhye region, using satellite terminals to transmit data on the location of command posts and firing positions.

An hour ago, a rocket exploded in the air over the Budyonovsky district. Whether our air defense shot it down or it malfunctioned—the locals themselves do not know. But the fragment that fell indicates the NATO origin of the missile. The locals say that the rocket was big, long and flew low.
