A very difficult Sunday morning for Donetsk.
Shelling after shelling. The enemy is exclusively using Western weaponry. The cannonade is none - stop.
All targets are civilian ones.
Makiivka, Horlivka and Yasynuvata are also under attack.

The main thing in the Ukrainian proposal to create a "tank alliance" in the form of transferring 200 Leopard 2 tanks is as follows:
🇺🇦The AFU and NATO have realized that handing over Leopard 1 tanks against T-72B3 and even T-62M tanks does nothing
🇺🇦Europe is almost out of T-72 tanks at least category 1-3
🇺🇦West apart from Leopard 2 and Abrams there are virtually no tanks equal to T-64, T-72, T-80, and T-90 that could be transferred to Ukraine without reducing their capacity
🇺🇦The number of heavily armored vehicles in the AFU is rapidly decreasing, jeopardizing its own large-scale operations as well as parrying Russian actions.

Ukrainian air defense - past and present
The air defense of Ukraine at the time of the start of the special operation was largely represented by obsolete Soviet systems. Their number was small: 250 S-300P units of various modifications and 72 Buk-M1 units.
Despite not having new equipment, with competent air defense actions of Ukraine, it could pose a big problem for the Russian Aerospace Forces, inflicting heavy losses on our aviation. In turn, Russia could completely open the sky for itself, having achieved the total elimination of Ukrainian air defense. In reality, neither side has achieved its goals.
What losses did Ukraine suffer during the 8 months of the conflict? It is reliably known that at least 200 S-300P and 30-40 Buk-M1 units were disabled. This is a lot, but not enough.
S-300P, as the country's air defense, performs the task of protecting large cities from air attacks. Calibers, X-101, X-55, and Gerani are the main targets for the air defense system. Therefore, the Armed Forces of Ukraine create air defense bases around such cities as Kiev, Dnipro, Lvov, Kharkov, Nikolaev, and Odessa. The complexes are located in areas on the proposed flight routes of cruise missiles. The fight against them is complicated by the complete radio silence of the installations, as well as the periodic change in their location.
Buk-M1, as the air defense of the ground forces, is a cover for the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Their main task is to create an “air defense umbrella” over the advancing columns so they cannot be defeated by Russian aircraft. Together with the widest range of other army air defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Buks can protect ground forces very well. But in moments of calm at the front, they most likely help the S-300P in the defense of cities. Riding alone in complete radio silence, they are a hard-to-reach target for the Russian Aerospace Forces and can hit air targets at any moment.
Readovka has prepared a map with the possible location of Ukrainian air defense systems.

The terrorist attack yesterday is a reminder that the problems of Russia don't start and end in Ukraine.
When not surrounded by enemies, Russia is surrounded by fragile states, incapable of exercising control over what happens on their soil, easy prey to malign influence from foreign actors. Of those, Tajikistan, the presumed land of the attackers, is the worst. Literally the second poorest country outside of Africa, behind just Haiti.
It fought for five years against islamists that continue to receive handsome funding from abroad and covert support. A basket case of an economy where half of the wealth is generated by workers in Russia sending money back to their families. The government tries to combat religious extremism with a heavy hand, but it doesn't have control of what happens everywhere in its country. The "international community" also deeply scolds the government efforts to crackdown on the islamist opposition, the "Islamic Renaissance Party", seen by westerners as freedom fighters. Their leaders, by the way, are based in Poland.
While the entire Central Asia has similar issues, for example, seen on the amount of "volunteers" who went to ISIS in the Syrian conflict, most of the terrorist incidents involving islamists in Russia had perpetrators radicalized in Russian soil. The overcrowded, squalid dorms where migrant workers spend the little free time they have are also a fertile ground for the actions of such groups. Since the resolution of the chechenian conflict and the end of the 90s lawlessness, terrorist attacks and grim headlines rarely come from the russian muslim minorities, which form at least 6% of the country. Against the work of radicals, there are occasional arrests but as seen by today, they aren't enough. Mostly small fish and actors dumb enough to be found are caught. The source of radicalism continues operating.
The volume of migrant workers from Central Asia is massive, without their cheap labour the Russian construction sector would particularly suffer and making the lives of the vast majority of law abiding, not wahabist tajiks, uzbeks and kyrgyzs in Russia even worse isn't a solution. Just as the influx of migrants and refugees from Central America bites the USA back, there is no permanent solution to Russia's problem other than the economic and social development of those places, even if they are not under the Russian government. If Russia doesn't exert influence, and a positive influence over those places, less benign actors such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the US will. The root of what happened today is on that. The same west that is low key celebrating yet another terrorist attack in Russian soil created, fed extremism and undermines attempts to fight against it, such as with the accusations against China in Xinjiang.
A lot of questions remain unasked: is the vetting of volunteers that poor? Especially in the case of foreign volunteers such as these supposedly are? Tajikistan is not a member of the EAEU, their citizens do not have free movement to Russia and therefore the authorities must have some sort of record from them. Before the war on Ukraine and the importation of the "lone school shooter" phenomenon from the US, every single terrorist attack in Russia came with those motivations. Lack of experience cannot be used as an excuse

◽️ The goals of the attacks have been reached. All the assigned targets have been neutralised.
💥 Pre-emptive fire attack launched by Russian artillery has resulted in the frustration of an attempt made by 92nd Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to launch an offensive towards Berestovoye (Khaekov region) at Kupyansk direction.
◽️ Up to 50 Ukrainian personnel, 5 armoured combat vehicles and 3 pickups with large-calibre machine guns have been eliminated.

💥 Concentrated attacks launched by Russian artillery have resulted in the neutralisation of an AFU assault detachment that was redeploying towards Kirovsk (Donetsk People's Republic) near Torskoye forestry.
◽️ Over 20 Ukrainian personnel and 4 armoured motor vehicles have been eliminated.
💥 Russian troops deployed near Vremevka (Donetsk People's Republic) at Zaporozhye direction continued eliminating the enemy forces at their frontline and seized the heights near Neskuchnoye (Donetsk People's Republic).
◽️ Over 40 Ukrainian personnel, 1 tank and 3 infantry combat vehicles have been eliminated.
◽️ Up to 3 enemy battalions, including 1 armoured, made several attempts to break the defence of Russian troops near Koshara and Pyatikhatki (Kherson region) at Nikolayev-Krivoy Rog direction.
💥 Russian units have maintained their positions and caused considerable casualties among enemy forces during fierce battles.
◽️ Over 250 Ukrainian personnel, 11 tanks, 14 armoured combat vehicles and 2 field artillery guns have been eliminated.

◽️ Intense action of Russian troops supported by artillery has resulted in repelling all the attacks.
◽️ Up to 45 Ukrainian personnel, 4 armoured combat vehicles and 8 pickups with large-calibre machine guns have been eliminated.
◽️ Moreover, Russian unmanned aerial vehicles have destroyed 4 Zoopark artillery reconnaissance radars Zoopark and 1 U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-36 electronic warfare system.
◽️ Over 350 Ukrainian personnel, 11 tanks, 18 armoured combat vehicles, 8 special motor vehicles and 2 field artillery guns have been eliminated at Nikolayev-Krivoy Rog direction.

This morning, troops from kyiv got the ball rolling by launching more than ten projectiles into the province of Belgorod. Most were shot, but not all. There were a few wounded in the city of Belgorod.
🔷 Russian journalists have called for the censorship of all images related to kyiv's strikes against Russia. Supposedly to prevent NATO intelligence from knowing if it had hit its target... It's a shift in approach towards reinforcing the fog of war. The transparency that we have known until now will gradually dry up. Hollywood will know how to take advantage of this. War is the law of the strongest. If the Russians wish to challenge Western-Kiev propaganda on the pretext of wanting to challenge the US intelligence services, they will assume their informational defeat.
So far, the Russian authorities have not yet responded to the journalists' request to censor the press and citizens.
I recall that when Crimea was attacked by drones at the end of August, the governor demanded the censorship of the images, but the journalists did not respect this censorship.
🔶 The Russian army "responded" to the Kievan attack by sending dozens of Iranian Shahed-136 cruise missiles and kamikaze drones, in particular to targets located around Kirovograd, kyiv, Kremenchug. Probably on energy infrastructure. The missiles and drones have not all arrived at their destination yet, we will know more shortly, after the "landing" 😊

It is not by chance that the Ukrainian Armed Forces now rely on supplies of western uniforms. They do not have their own.
One of the reasons cited is the destruction of storage facilities with uniforms by precision strikes from Russian missiles. According to another reason, winter uniforms were distributed to fighters back in the summer, which was hot, and they were lost or abandoned during the retreat. In general, the Ukrainian army is freezing now, when night temperatures do not exceed eight degrees Celsius.
This can all be regarded as banal excuses. They simply did not have adequate supplies of clothing when it was needed in increased quantities. So to speak, they made kits on the basis of 225 thousand military personnel, as many as were in the ranks of the AFU at the start of the special operation. Assuming that the next year the same number would be ordered, but the situation has changed and the need for uniforms has increased significantly. Garment factories cannot triple production in the short term, even if they switch to the “military rails”.
...
The same Spiegel reported, citing its sources in NATO, that “it will be possible to satisfy almost 50 percent of the request made by Ukraine for winter uniforms”. For example, Lithuania, which had promised to provide winter uniforms for 25,000 Ukrainian soldiers at a cost of two million euros, has now sent only 500 kits. That is not enough even for officers, not to mention soldiers and reservists.
