A 13-year-old girl stabbed a woman more than 140 times in a 'premeditated' murder, before texting friends to say she 'wouldn't be in school for a while', a court has heard.
The body of Marta Bednarczyk was found burnt in a fire at a terraced property in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, in March.
But a post-mortem examination found the 43-year-old had suffered horrific injuries to her face, neck and back, inflicted by at least two weapons - likely killing her before the fire started.
Prosecutors said her alleged killer, who initially blamed a third party for the killing, was found nearby with cuts to her hands and taken to hospital – where she was seen smiling by a police officer and a nurse.
It is alleged she 'planned and researched' the attack for weeks beforehand, including looking online at gory videos of people being killed and researching the sentence 'for a 13-year-old convicted of murder.'

A man who attempted to murder his ex-girlfriend ended up killing her sister and her three children in a 'catastrophic' house fire, a court heard today.
Sharaz Ali was 'motivated by jealousy and fuelled by drink and drugs' when he set fire to the home of Bryonie Gawith and her three small children in the early hours of August 21 last year, a trial heard.
Prosecutors say Ali went to the house intending to 'take revenge' on his former partner.
Antonia managed to escape but Bryonie Gawith, 29, and her children Denisty Birtle, nine, Oscar Birtle, five, and 22-month-old Aubree Birtle died in the blaze.
Mohammed Shabir, 45, who had been due to go on trial with them, died of a heart attack last month after collapsing in prison.
The court heard that the men drove 25 minutes from Keighley to Bradford just before 2am, stopping to buy a seven-litre can of petrol on the way.

Police chief says St George's flags are 'tools of division' being used to spread fear on the streets as they admit the asylum system is in 'desperate need of reform'.
Emily Spurrell, chairwoman of the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners (APCC) told a national conference that the surge in St George's and Union Jack flags being hung on lamp posts, motorway bridges and street signs across the country was 'sowing fear' and 'fuelling division'.

The UK lacks a plan to defend itself from a military attack, MPs warned as the Government promised to boost readiness with new arms factories.
At least 13 sites across the UK have been identified for new factories to make munitions and military explosives, with Defence Secretary John Healey expecting the arms industry to break ground at the first plant next year.
Mr Healey will confirm the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has funded a number of feasibility studies for new energetics factories - producing explosives, pyrotechnics and propellants - to kickstart high-volume production in the UK for the first time in nearly two decades.
Potential sites for the 'factories of the future' include Grangemouth in Scotland, Teesside in north-east England and Milford Haven in Wales.
The Government is committed to building at least six new munitions and energetics factories, creating at least 1,000 jobs.
Mr Healey will also announce the opening of two new drone factories this week in Plymouth and Swindon.

Clive Lewis has said he would be willing to stand down as MP for Norwich South to make way for Andy Burnham, so that he could challenge Sir Keir Starmer for the Labour leadership.
The left-wing MP was extremely critical of Starmer's leadership, and was asked by the BBC if he would make way for Burnham to become an MP, which is the only way the current Greater Manchester mayor could try to replace Starmer.
Lewis replied: "It's a question I've asked myself, and I'd have to obviously consult with my wife as well, and family.
"But, do you know what, if I'm going to sit here and say country before party, party before personal ambition, then yes, I have to say 'yes' don't I?"
