Your Clothes in The Closet are Scattered Again, you Need to Cook Food Again, the Children are Grumpy again, you Want Food and Drink Again and So On. And Suddenly It's Night and Time for Sleep.

And The Qur'ān Was Never Read... And Suddenly you Are Already Wrapped in a Kafan (Cloth)…

Maybe we Should Start to Put Aside EVERYTHING More Often and Devote Time to The Qur'ān?

Every Single Day It's The Same. Alarm Goes Off Near The Start Of Fajr Time, But You Keep Snoozing It And Then Just Before Sunrise You're Rushing To Try To Make It On Time.

This Is How Being Lazy On One Day Lead's To More And More Laziness, Neglect And Even Missing The Prayer.

Mourning and Celebrating on ‘Āshūrā❗️

Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:

Because of the killing of al-Husayn رضي الله عنه, Shaytaan caused the people to introduce two innovations:

١. The innovation of mourning and wailing on the day of ‘Āshūrā’, by slapping the cheeks, weeping, and reciting eulogies.

٢. The innovation of rejoicing and celebrating.

So some introduced mourning and others introduced celebration, so they regarded the day of ‘Āshūrā’ as a day for wearing kohl, doing ghusl, spending on the family and making special foods.

And every innovation is a going astray. None of the four aʼimmah of the Muslims or any other (scholars) regarded either of these things as mustahabb.

The Best Mahr

Shaykh Abdul Razzaq al-Badr حفظه الله said:

I conclude this chapter with one of the virtuous brothers informing me about his marriage:

He says I got engaged to a daughter of a righteous family,so they accepted my proposal, and when the subject of the Mahr came up,the girl said: I do not want from him the Mahr except for “a copy of Sahih al-Bukhari.” I do not want anything other than this, and he says,"so I purchased a copy of Sahih Bukhari" and I presented it, and the contract was written, and Allah blessed me with righteous offspring from her.
I saw the small young children, I saw them myself, and I saw good promising signs in them, with the permission of Allah, Glory be to Him. I narrated this story once in some of the gatherings, and one of the students of knowledge came to me and said to me, O Shaykh, does she have a sister, I want to offer her the Mahr of “Al-Kutub As-Sittah"

What is Meant here - is the Corruption of the Path of the Seeker's ( in Ilm)

The pursuit of ilm is not merely taking a picture of an open book with coffee. It is that which is obtained by sleepless nights and studying tirelessly...we should be ashamed to say that we are tulaab. When you look into the scholars of the past you will notice that we have not obtained Not a Single drop from the bahr of ilm. Our ships have not been built and our armour has not been made...because we spent time on the shore busying ourselves with beautifying this Path (Turning it Into an Aesthetic) So the True Hardship Was Not Felt.

This is Naseeha to Myself First. Do Not Think We are Something in This Path When What we have Truly Done is Nothing. We should fear for ourselves and ask ALLĀH ﷻ to Allow us to pursue this Path with True Sincerity.
