5. And Al-Shinqīṭī,
(والشنقيطي،)

It Has Been Said: There Are Six Characteristic's Known In Al-Jāhil (The Ignorant):

كان يقال:ستّ خصال تعرف في الجاهل:

Anger Without Cause,
الغضب في غير شئ،

Speech Without Benefit,
والكلام في غير نفع،

Giving To The Wrong Cause,
والعطيّة في غير موضعها،

Spreading Secret's,
وإفشاء السّر،

Trusting Everyone,
والثقة بكلّ أحد،

And Not Distinguishing Friend From Enemy.
ولا يعرف صديقه من عدوه.

Ibn Shubrumah Was Asked:

“What Are The Limits Of Idiocy?”
قيل لابن شبرمة: ما حدّ الحمق؟

He Said: “It Has No Limit.”
قال:لا جدّ له.

She Said:

“𝗜 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗼 𝗔𝘀𝗸 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴!”

He Said To Her:

“𝗚𝗼 𝗧𝗼 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝗼𝗿.”

“𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗕𝗘 𝗨𝗡𝗩𝗘𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗗!”

The great Imām, al-Khatīb al-Baghdādī رحمه الله mentioned a beautiful incident in his book narrated on the authority of Muhammad Ibn Mūsā al-Qādī:

حضرت مجلس موسى بن إسحاق القاضي بالري سنة ست وثمانين ومائتين وتقدمت امرأة فادعى وليها على زوجها خمسمائة دينار مهرا

I was present in the gathering of Mūsā Ibn Ishāq; the judge of al-Rayy in the year 286H.

A woman came to him and her legal guardian (walī) claimed that her husband owed her 500 Dinār in Dowry.

فأنكر فقال القاضي شهودك

He (the husband) denied (the accusation). So the judge said to him: “Bring Your Witnesses.”

قال قد أحضرتهم فاستدعى بعض الشهود أن ينظر إلى المرأة ليشير إليها في شهادته

He responded: “I brought them” so the judge then called out some of the witnesses to look at the woman to see if she is indeed his wife.

فقام الشاهد وقال للمرأة قومي فقال الزوج تفعلون ماذا

One of the witnesses stood up and said to the her: “Stand up” so the husband said: “What are you doing?”

قال الوكيل ينظرون إلى امرأتك وهي مسفرة لتصح عندهم معرفتها

He (the judge) responded: “They are going to look at your wife while her face is unveiled to confirm her identity.”

فقال الزوج وإني أشهد القاضي أن لها علي هذا المهر الذي تدعيه ولا تسفر عن وجهها

So the husband said:

"I bear witness to the judge that I owe her the dowry that she is claiming, her face will not be unveiled!”

فردت المرأة وأخبرت بما كان من زوجها فقالت المرأة فإني أشهد القاضي أن قد وهبت له هذا المهر وابرأته منه في الدنيا والآخرة

The wife was informed of what her husband did so she said: “I bear witness to the judge that I have given the dowry to him as a gift, and I do not hold him accountable for it in this life and the hereafter.”

فقال القاضي يكتب هذا في مكارم الأخلاق….

The judge commented: “Record this (incident) in (the books of) Noble Character.”

❝𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗲'𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱❞

Narrated 𝗜𝗯𝗻 '𝗔𝗯𝗯𝗮𝘀 رضي الله عنه: Once I was behind the 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 ﷺ and he said: "O 𝗕𝗼𝘆, I Will 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 You A 𝗙𝗲𝘄 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱'𝘀:

1) Be loyal and obedient to ALLĀH ﷻ, remember Him always, obey His Orders. He will save you from every evil and will take care of you in all the spheres of life.

2) Be loyal and obedient to ALLĀH ﷻ, you will find Him near (in front of you), i.e. He will respond to your requests.

3) If you ask, ask ALLĀH ﷻ.

4) If you seek help, seek help from ALLĀH ﷻ.

5) Know that if all the people get together in order to benefit you with something, they will not be able to benefit you in anything except what ALLĀH ﷻ has decreed for you.

And if they all get together in order to harm you with something, they will not be able to harm you in anything except what ALLĀH ﷻ has decreed for you.
"The pens are lifted and the pages are dried."

✨ Ramadān Tips ✨

📝Note it Down & Prepare Yourselves.

1️⃣ Limit your use of Social Media and Spending excessive time on it socialising.
Every second of Ramadān is precious, so don’t waste your time online if it won’t bring any benefit.
However, online platforms should be used for spreading Reminders and Benefits and one shouldn’t stay away from it completely if they are using it to benefit the Ummah & before that Self Implementation Is Must.

2️⃣ Eat healthy.
Don’t overeat and stay away from unhealthy foods as it will effect your quality of ‘Ibādah. Drink plenty of water when you can.

3️⃣ Don’t waste time after you break your fast like many do and excessively socialise.
It’s best to stay away from such gatherings in the first place so you don’t fall into doing and speaking about harām things.

4️⃣ Always make extra effort and do more as ALLĀH ﷻ has made ‘Ibādah so easy for us in this blessed month, Alhamdulilāh.

5️⃣ Utilise the early hours of the morning well after Fajr, as they have so much barakah in them. Use this time to recite a lot of Qur’ān, memorise and reflect over it and remember ALLĀH ﷻ.

✨ Ramaḍān Tips ✨

6️⃣ Recite as much Qur’ān as possible! If you struggle with this, base your recitation around the prayer times and try to at least read a page before and after each Salāh and increase as you go.
Although there’s nothing wrong with completing the Qur’ān as that’s what the righteous of the past used to do in this blessed month, don’t forget to also read the tafsīr and reflect over the meanings.
This will have a greater effect on one’s Īmān, Taqwā and Salāh, inside and outside of Ramadān.

7️⃣ Get a decent amount of rest so you can wake up frequently if able in the last third of the night to do extra ‘Ibādah.
There are special times where du’ā is more likely to be answered, now imagine the likelihood of it being answered in the last third of the night, during Ramaḍān, in Sujūd, and even more so if that night was Laylatul Qadr!

8️⃣ Seek Laylatul Qadr every night in the last ten nights, especially the odd nights, and refrain from singling one night out and ignoring the rest.
ALLĀH ﷻ will only allow the true, sincere ones who make effort with ‘Ibādah to witness this amazing, blessed night.

9️⃣ Help your brothers and sisters whenever you can with their needs and hasten to do good deeds even faster in this month.

🔟 Be humble in front of ALLĀH ﷻ and turn to Him in repentance every day and night of Ramaḍān.
Only ALLĀH ﷻ knows how many sins we have accumulated over the year so we need to beg ALLĀH ﷻ for His forgiveness during these blessed days and nights, and think well of ALLĀH ﷻ always.

➡️These are a few Tips, but there is so much more that can be done to maximise our ‘Ibādah in this month.
Also don’t forget to make plenty of du’ā for the entire ummah; those living and those in their graves.

May ALLĀH ﷻ accept our worship and help us truly give this blessed month its Rights, Bi'idnillaah.

Also, Don't forget To Be the Change You Always Wished To be...
