Regarding a Recent Event which I will not mention the specifics There is importance in who you befriend.

To sisters, be cautious in who you send your pictures to, even if it’s to another woman because these women can then expose or share these pictures to anyone if they wish to do so.

Some men notably make fake female accounts just to add sisters on Instagram, to see them on their Highlights or to gain pictures of them, to then share around asking information about you in groups of other men.

Some from amongst Ahl al-ʿIlm, out of caution would say women shouldn’t keep any pictures of themselves (uncovered) on their mobile phones due to the risk of it being hacked into and shared.

But at the bare minimum, just refrain from sharing pictures of yourself with your awrah exposed to women you don’t know truly, and even if you feel as if you know them and trust them, there’s always a risk so be cautious about it.

Knowledge consists of three things:

1️⃣ Memorising Texts, for they are the foundation of understanding and precision.

2️⃣ Learning from Scholars, for knowledge is only attained through receiving it from those firmly grounded in it.

3️⃣ Extensive reading, for it broadens the mind and strengthens what has been memorised.

So, whenever a Student of Knowledge falls short in any one of these, his share of knowledge decreases.

Islamic Ringtones?

Using acts that have been designated for worship, for other than their intended purpose is Not permissible.

Therefore using verses of the Qur'an, Adhkaar or the Adhaan as ringtones is not allowed, as they are not legislated to be ringtones but are meant for worship.

Congratulating the Kuffar on Christmas !!

قال ابن القيم رحمه الله في كتابه [أحكام أهل الذمة، ج ١، ص ٤٤١] فيمن يهنئ الكفار في أعيادهم:
Ibn ul-Qayyim said in his book Ahkām Ahlu’l Dhimmah about the one who congratulates the disbelievers on their celebrations:

هو بمنزلة أن يهنئه بسجوده للصليب،
“It is like congratulating them for prostrating to the cross.

بل ذلك أعظم إثما عند الله وأشد مقتا من التهنئة بشرب الخمر وقتل النفس وارتكاب الفرج الحرام ونحوه.
Indeed, it is a greater sin in the sight of ALLĀH ﷻ and more hateful than congratulating them for drinking alcohol, killing, or committing adultery, and the like.”

لماذا؟
Why?

لأنك تهنئهم في احتفالهم باليوم الذي يزعمون أن الله سبحانه وتعالى اتخذ فيه ولدا.
Because you are congratulating them on the day they claim that ALLĀH ﷻ, exalted and glorified, has taken a son.

نعوذ بالله من مقالة الشرك هذه
We seek refuge in ALLĀH ﷻ from this statement of shirk.``

Umar ibn al-Khattab said:

اجتنبوا أعداء الله في أعيادهم.
“Stay away from the enemies of ALLĀH ﷻ during their festivals.”

[رواه البيهقي بإسناد صحيح]

Many Muslims today, especially the young and those living away from strong Islamic environments, are gradually losing their Islamic identity.

In non Muslim societies, many Muslim children celebrate Christmas at school. They sing carols, wear themed outfits, exchange cards, and take part in greetings that do not belong to their faith.

It is the responsibility of parents to educate and raise their children upon the correct Aqeedah.

They will be questioned about this on the Day of Judgment.
