Venezuela Reaches 91% of Transactions in Bolivars
Venezuela has reached 91% financial digitalization, with the majority of transactions conducted in Bolivars, reported Richard Ujueta, president of the Venezuelan Chamber of Electronic Commerce. He highlighted that the use of the dollar has decreased significantly, currently standing at just 6%.
Ujueta noted that the country has the highest banking penetration in Latin America, which drives this digitalization and improves transparency and the use of digital payments. He also emphasized that the banking system has grown thanks to the issuance of credit cards, microcredits, and digital financing.
