I stopped in the crowd to ask what people were waiting for. The couple that replied were obviously very retired scientists in biochemistry.

They called me "a thicko who probably got her PhD from the back of a fag packet. And that their daughter was a proper doctor".

I didn't get angry. I didn't call them names. I told them I was a subject matter expert and had a PhD in genetic vaccines at the university of Nottingham in 2003.

They would not engage in conversation. Except for to call me names.

Marko Marjanović, the editor of Anti-Empire.com who waged a one-man insurgency against soothing falsities, seeking favor from no one and enraging State Department toadies and Kremlin boot-lickers alike, was discovered dead in his apartment in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines, on July 22. He was 40 years old.
