🇪🇺🇺🇦🇷🇺Josep Borrel: without Western support, Ukraine would have to surrender within a few days
At the same time, the head of the European Union's foreign policy service claimed that the EU "is not a belligerent party" in the conflict, since it "does not interfere directly"
The head of the EU Foreign Policy Service, Josep Borrel, called for further Western support for Ukraine, because, in his opinion, without it Kiev would have to surrender within a few days.
"We need to continue to help Ukraine," he stressed, speaking on Wednesday night in an interview with the Sexta TV channel. "I know how to end the war immediately: I stop providing military assistance to Ukraine, and Ukraine must surrender within a few days," the head of EU diplomacy said. "And that's it, the war is over."
At the same time, Borrel argued that the EU "is not a beligerent party in the conflict”, since it "does not interfere directly."
"Those who say: "I want peace, and to achieve it, the best thing is for the Europeans to stop helping Ukraine," to be honest, I do not know what kind of world they live in," he added.
At the same time, according to Borrell, Ukraine in this case "will turn into a puppet country, like Belarus, deprived of its freedoms."

🇷🇺❌🇪🇺Russia denounces the treaty on conventional armed forces* in Europe, Putin has appointed Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov as his representative in the consideration of the Parliament.
The agreement was signed in 1990. In 2007, Russia suspended its participation in the CFE Treaty until the NATO countries ratify the Agreement on Adaptation and begin to implement this document in good faith.
*Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) was negotiated and concluded during the last years of the Cold War and established comprehensive limits on key categories of conventional military equipment inEurope (from the Atlantic to the Urals) and mandated the destruction of excess weaponry.
The treaty proposed equal limits for the two "groups of states-parties", the NATO and the Warsaw Pact

🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇦🇷🇺'Failure of counter-offensive is no reason to stop arms supplies to Ukraine' -(UK and US will continue to fight until the last Ukrainian) - The Washington Post.
'Support will continue regardless of whether Ukraine's military can retake territory from Russia in a planned counter-offensive. UK Foreign Secretary Clevery said that while Ukrainian forces fared much better than many Western partners expected, there could be unforeseen developments ahead: “When Moscow sends more troops, new men and more firepower to Ukraine All. We must not stop helping Ukraine.'
The Washington Post notes that senior Ukrainian officials have previously expressed concern that the announced counteroffensive will fall short of Western expectations and could jeopardize needed future assistance.

🇷🇺🚀🇵🇱 It was a Russian Kh-55( Soviet/Russian subsonic air-launched cruise missile designed in the 70's) missile that fell in Poland near Zamość, experts confirmed. Remains of an (until then) unknown missile were found in a forest at the end of April.
"A Russian Kh-55 cruise missile was found in Zamość. These are the preliminary conclusions of the Technical Institute of the Air Force, which is engaged in the examination of this object for the prosecutor's office. Most likely, the missile came from our eastern border, since the Polish army does not have such missiles either in service or in warehouses," RMF FM reports.

War Correspondent Alexander Kots went to the Kherson area of the front to check on rumours that the AFU has gained a foothold on the east bank of the Dnepr. He found no evidence of this, albeit the river bank is hardly safe as both sides exchange fire.
