🇨🇦 Once I received a Quarantine Act ticket, what did I do?

A Quarantine Act ticket of $5800 was slapped on me June 2022 for refusing a PCR test at arrival at YVR. Perhaps they were also annoyed that I refused to use ArriveCAN.

1. I disputed ticket within 30 days of receipt as is required. Sent in ticket to address noted.
2. I was notified by mail of a first court date to assign a hearing date.
3. I requested in advance to attend this first court session virtually, as I was not in Canada. Submitted Form PTR825 to attend hearing by videoconference min one week in advance.
4. I attended hearing virtually. There was no discussion of my offense. Only set next hearing date.
5. A court hearing was set for Dec 14.
6. I requested in advance to attend this court hearing virtually, saying that traffic was problematic. Submitted Form PTR825 to attend hearing by videoconference min one week in advance.
7. Early Dec 2022, I received a letter from Crown Counsel that my Quarantine Act ticket was cancelled.
8. I was required to respond by email confirming receipt of this email cancelling ticket.

Very curious... FEMA and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will test the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) on October 4, 2023 at approximately 2:20 p.m.

All major US wireless carriers will test the system for transmitting information to their customers. Any phone that is turned on and within range of an active cell tower from a participating wireless carrier should receive an alert.

If bad weather occurs on October 4, the test will be delayed by one week to avoid confusion between actual emergency alerts and the test itself. The backup testing date is October 11.

Tomorrow, October 4 in the U.S., the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will test its Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) system. At 2:20 p.m. Eastern, people will receive a message on their mobile phones that reads, “THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed.” In addition to the message, your iPhone will vibrate and play “a special sound that’s similar to an alarm” even if your iPhone is on silent. The alert will appear in Spanish for users who set their devices for that language.
