These ungainly Russian vehicles have gained a well-deserved reputation for being able to plow through the thickest hailstorms of antitank drones with little apparent trouble. And I'm sure it's not a controversial proposition that a functional tank with a clumsy layout is far superior to an elegant tank that exploded two kilometers back. We also know that a turret isn't really necessary to make a functional tank, the Swedish Strv 103 performed quite well in combat trials against its turreted competitors."
