TIL that Winston Churchill’s famous “Iron Curtain” speech was given at a college in rural Missouri with about 600 students. The college later purchased a ruined historic church from London, transported it stone by stone, rebuilt it and turned part of it into a Churchill museum.

This was Jimmy Schepers. At a festival in Amsterdam, the 21-year old Dutchman tried to intervene when his sister was being assaulted by a gang of Africans. The Africans then stabbed Jimmy to death. Two of his friends were also stabbed but survived.
Today, the three Africans were sentenced to only 6 months, 18 months and 14 years of jail for the killing of Jimmy, the wounding of his friends and for two violent robberies they committed at the same festival prior to the killing.
They received these very lenient sentences because the judge argued they were "zwakbegaafd", which is a politically correct Dutch way of saying they have low IQ's.
