The mayor of Oradea, Florin Birta, is a close friend of premier Ilie Bolojan and served as his deputy mayor when Ilie Bolojan chaired the Oradea Town Hall from 2008 to 2020. Birta is a member of the National Liberal Party.
The ARK Oradea NGO said they will organise a Pride Parade disguised as a "peaceful protest" against the Town Hall. They also accused the town hall of being "dangerously resembling other towns in Viktor Orbán's Hungary" with its attitude towards the so-called "LGBT community".

Germany and the U.S. may soon finalize a deal to supply Ukraine with two Patriot batteries, — Bloomberg reports.
Under the agreement, Berlin would send two Patriot systems to Kyiv, while the U.S. would replenish Germany’s stock from its own reserves.
Bloomberg sources say the deal could be officially announced this week.
Earlier, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated that Berlin and Washington had agreed to provide Ukraine with five Patriot systems in total.
Under the agreement, Berlin would send two Patriot systems to Kyiv, while the U.S. would replenish Germany’s stock from its own reserves.
