🔍 Alex Soros: Pale shadow of his father or rising political WILDCARD?

Alex, son of George Soros and head of his $25B empire since 2023, has reportedly funneled a massive $37M for groups backing Zohran Mamdani to help him win NYC’s Democratic mayoral primary.

New kingmaker?

Who is Alex Soros?

🔴 Took control of George Soros’ empire in 2023.

🔴 Immediately slashed 40% of OSF’s 800 staff, gutting offices in Berlin, London, and Budapest.

🔴 Called it a “strategic overhaul” to sharpen focus before the 2024 US election.

Soros, Biden & Harris

♦️ Under Alex, Free Press (Soros-funded) pushed Big Tech to ramp up censorship before the 2024 election, per the Media Research Center.

♦️ When Biden dropped out, Alex quickly endorsed Kamala Harris, prompting Elon Musk to call her a Soros “puppet.”

♦️ Still, Democracy PAC, the family’s main political vehicle, actually cut spending by $14M, totaling $67.5M to boost Democrats across the board, per the Washington Examiner.

Trump curveball

🔴 After Donald Trump won, Alex reversed tone:
“He was a ‘super candidate’ with increasing appeal to a broader electorate…”

🔴 Trump tapped Scott Bessent – a former Soros fund exec who helped the Quantum Fund score $1B on Black Wednesday – as Treasury secretary.

Clinton ties

🟥 In July 2024, reports confirmed Alex was engaged to Huma Abedin, who has been Hillary Clinton’s closest confidante since 1996 – and dubbed her “mind reader” by The Washington Post.

🟥 Alex (39) and Huma (48) married in June 2025, fueling speculation of a Clinton-Soros political fusion.

And the rumors?

🔶 Some online voices claim Alex is a closeted gay. “Billionaire straight men do not usually get married to 48-year-old women with kids,” tweeted Wall Street Mav.

🔶 However: No credible public information confirms this.

Looking ahead

Per Vanity Fair, Alex is already drafting his shortlist for 2028 – and positioning himself as the Democratic kingmaker to watch.

Germany and the U.S. may soon finalize a deal to supply Ukraine with two Patriot batteries, — Bloomberg reports.

Under the agreement, Berlin would send two Patriot systems to Kyiv, while the U.S. would replenish Germany’s stock from its own reserves.

Bloomberg sources say the deal could be officially announced this week.

Earlier, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated that Berlin and Washington had agreed to provide Ukraine with five Patriot systems in total.

"The Apollo moon landing was real, but NASA's quarantine procedure was not" - Joanna Thompson, Live Science, 12JUN2023

>"The Andromeda Strain," a 1969 novel by author Michael Crichton. The book was published just two months before humans first set foot on the moon, and it sparked widespread panic about what the Apollo 11 astronauts might bring back. Luckily, NASA had a quarantine protocol in place for the mission. But those measures might have been largely for show, according to new research published in the science history journal Isis.

>NASA set up a quarantine facility in Houston known as the Lunar Receiving Laboratory in order to counteract the possibility of any hitchhiking alien germs escaping onto Earth. When the Apollo 11 crew returned from their mission, they were immediately ushered into this state-of-the-art, multimillion dollar facility, where they spent three weeks... "The quarantine protocol looked like a success only because it was not needed"

"Therefore, a critical project of The Right is deconstructing the World War II myth. Tucker Carlson has been the most successful in this regard; his interview with historian Darryl Cooper, in which Cooper called British prime minister Winston Churchill “the chief villain of World War II,” was viewed by tens of millions. Candace Owens, whose podcast is one of Spotify’s most popular, has likewise questioned the standard history of Nazi Germany. Granted, this process is painful — being told that Santa Claus is not real always hurts — but it is necessary if we are to mature.

"Of course, Tucker and Candace are not the first to tackle this head-on, but they seem to have the advantage of good timing. Prior scholars who tried, and failed, to overturn the idols of WWII include David Irving, Harry Elmer Barnes and Patrick Buchanan. It is to Buchanan’s 2008 book Churchill, Hitler, and the Unnecessary War that I turn to in this review."

Anduril, the AI-powered defense startup backed by Palantir's Peter Thiel, is best known for its relatively cheap drones and autonomous lookout towers that track targets using radar and cameras. Its flagship software product, Lattice, integrates multiple data sources into a single point of view and can be used to “accelerate the closing of complex kill chains,” according to the company’s website. Anduril has benefitted from military tactics deployed in Ukraine, where drones have accounted for more than two thirds of battlefield casualties. “Ukraine is key because not only is it contributing to all of Europe doubling down on defense, but drone companies, software companies… they’re testing their equipment in Ukraine.” The company has secured over $2 billion worth of contracts with the U.S. government, and after building a powerful network in the U.K. its sights are now set on a European expansion. POLITICO explains how Anduril achieved its expansion into the U.K. with a massive PR operation, winning influential supporters and government contracts worth tens of millions. PS. Anduril has already cut a deal with Germany's Rheinmetall to design and manufacture drones and rocket motors. @LauraRuHK https://www.politico.eu/article/ai-weapons-for-westminster-defense-disruptor-anduril-trains-its-sights-on-the-uk/

🇹🇭🇰🇭 Thailand and Cambodia recall ambassadors as border dispute flares

Thailand closed northeastern border crossings with Cambodia and said Wednesday it was withdrawing its ambassador and expelling the Cambodian ambassador to protest a land mine blast in which a Thai soldier lost a leg.

Cambodia responded Thursday that it was downgrading diplomatic relations with Thailand to their lowest level and recalling all Cambodian staff from its embassy in Bangkok.

Relations between the Southeast Asian neighbors have deteriorated sharply since May when a Cambodian soldier was killed in an armed confrontation in one of several small patches of land both countries claim as their own territory.

🇮🇱🇮🇷 - For more than two weeks, mysterious explosions and fires have erupted across Iran, engulfing apartment complexes, oil refineries, a road near a major airport, and even a shoe factory.

Publicly, Iranian officials have dismissed the incidents as coincidences or blamed aging infrastructure. Privately, however, three Iranian officials — including a member of the IRGC — told The New York Times that they believe many of these incidents were acts of sabotage by Israel.
