Ford Wins Patent for Technology To Remotely Disable Vehicles
Automaker Ford filed a patent application for technology that would allow semi and fully autonomous vehicles to repossess themselves if the owner misses loan or lease payments.
The patent is noscriptd “Systems and Methods to Repossess a Vehicle.” It states that future Ford vehicles would be able to disable “a functionality of one or more components of the vehicle.”
If a driver misses a payment, functions like cruise control, radio, air conditioning, and GPS would be disabled to irritate the driver.
Missing more payments worsens the repossession cycle. The vehicle would produce an “incessant and unpleasant sound” and if the driver still does not pay, they would be locked out of their vehicle.
If being locked out does not force the driver to pay, the vehicle could drive itself to a safe and nearby location where a team would repossess the vehicle...

“They [US authorities] are trying to divert attention from the version that I wrote about, which contained a huge amount of detail. I described the process that began before Christmas in 2021. It involved Jake Sullivan, national security adviser to the President [US Joe Biden]. "They held a series of meetings in a secret room in the White House. TIL that Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry has bred nearly 8,000 chicks annually (around 20 a day) as part of a Chicken Hatchery exhibit since 1956. The chicks are kept on exhibit for Museum Visitors to view for a week. After that, most are fed to animals at the Lincoln Park Zoo.
