☁️ This is a standing lenticular cloud. While it looks soft and pretty, it’s a sign of an area of extreme turbulence in the air. Pilots are trained to avoid them.

Standing lenticular clouds form in the crests of the mountain wave where the rising updraft of the wave has cooled and moisture has condensed. The clouds dissipate in the downdrafts of the wave where the air has descended and warmed to the point where the moisture evaporates and is no longer visible. This is why the clouds are called “standing”. They stay in the crests of the mountain waves and do not move with the wind flow.

Wordery is still an independent book distributor without Amazon affiliation as far as I know, but there's only so long that independent book distributors can hold out until they are consumed by the centralised beast of Amazon.

This is the beginning of the end of being reasonably able to trust that food is not adulterated.
This has happened numerous times in the past and was countered by regulations and inspection agencies.
What happens to a society when these agencies are or might have been captured?
Trust is destroyed.
You may want to consider how you would source food in a setting in which you no longer trust the authorities or corporates.

NPR continues to turn a blind eye to the Biden family's crimes, financial corruption, and foreign kickbacks because they are a fraudulent news organization that is a propaganda tool for the U.S. political establishment.
