Pocatello, Idaho: Approximately 20 train cars were derailed near the Pocatello Union Pacific railyard Tuesday night.

Union Pacific spokeswoman Robynn Tysver tells EastIdaho News the derailment occurred around 9 p.m. The Bannock County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.

The majority of the cars were empty, Tysver said. No spillage of hazardous materials or injuries have been reported.

"The second series of videos demonstrates Russia’s massive strike, called by some the largest of the entire war thus far, on Ukraine’s Khmelnitsky ammot depot. This is merely to illustrate the next point I wish to make, which is that there is a lot of ‘recency bias’ that goes into yesterday’s attacks on the Russian air fleet. Suddenly there is doom and gloom, and the typical, expected ‘concern troll’ swarm, etc. But many people quickly forget how vast the damage is which Russia is inflicting on Ukraine on a daily basis. The cost estimate of the above Khmelnitsky strike alone was said to be over $500 million, according to DPR’s Basurin and other sources."

My first experience in professional journalism was at the Daily Caller under Tucker. Multiple times since, he's been asked to personally condemn me for this or that. He never did. And to me, that means something.

You can vehemently disagree with a few of his comments on some random podcast and still realize that the kinds of things he said on Fox News, to millions of people, were drastically shifting the American population--especially boomers--to the right. The ideas he spoke about on TV, where his actual audience was, were completely unheard of even at Fox for the longest time. His mainstream success for his story selection and commentary on Fox was still an incredible victory.

And that is why his departure is devastating. I did think his last few interviews were a strange format to be suddenly doing.

A Byzantine View of Russia and Europe, by Laurent Guyénot - The Unz Review

"In this article, I wish to show that the geostrategy of the Great Game, by which the British and now the Americans are trying to dig a trench between Russia and Europe, is the continuation of a war waged by Western Europe against the Byzantine Empire from the eleventh to the fifteenth century. This thesis seems paradoxical if one thinks that Constantinople is now called Istanbul, but not if one understands the spiritual filiation between Constantinople and Moscow. And if we understand this filiation, then a thousand-year-old background suddenly appears behind the geopolitical conflict that is currently taking place. It is this background that I would like to draw here in broad strokes. Or rather redraw, because it is known in the West in an inverted version which is, obviously, the version of the victor. This kind of revisionism is, in my opinion, a necessary condition for Europe to come to terms with her Eurasian destiny."

I'm sure plenty of you know this, but if you didn't:

After Hurricane Katrina, people who remained behind had their guns confiscated by local law enforcement.

These clips from ABC News/Fox have gotten more and more difficult to find in full without being edited. Save it for a rainy day.
