TIL the Black Death contributed greatly to the rise of the British Pub and pub culture. Thanks to the plague, scarcity of labor greatly improved the standard of living for peasants, who in turn spent their extra money on beer.

A Byzantine View of Russia and Europe, by Laurent Guyénot - The Unz Review

"In this article, I wish to show that the geostrategy of the Great Game, by which the British and now the Americans are trying to dig a trench between Russia and Europe, is the continuation of a war waged by Western Europe against the Byzantine Empire from the eleventh to the fifteenth century. This thesis seems paradoxical if one thinks that Constantinople is now called Istanbul, but not if one understands the spiritual filiation between Constantinople and Moscow. And if we understand this filiation, then a thousand-year-old background suddenly appears behind the geopolitical conflict that is currently taking place. It is this background that I would like to draw here in broad strokes. Or rather redraw, because it is known in the West in an inverted version which is, obviously, the version of the victor. This kind of revisionism is, in my opinion, a necessary condition for Europe to come to terms with her Eurasian destiny."

I'm sure plenty of you know this, but if you didn't:

After Hurricane Katrina, people who remained behind had their guns confiscated by local law enforcement.

These clips from ABC News/Fox have gotten more and more difficult to find in full without being edited. Save it for a rainy day.

The doctor Campbell refers to here, Dr. Byram Bridle, was paid about a quarter million dollars by the Trudeau government to review the vaccine before its release. He came back with severe criticism of it and told them whatever they do, do not use this vaccine. They thanked him for his time, ignored what he said, and then went about (along with their lackeys int the mainstream media) smearing his name, calling him an anti-science bigot, quack, etc and many people even did their utmost to get him fired. To their credit, the university he works for stood by him (granted, he does have tenure) and he’s been able to weather the storm, but he’s now persona non grata for disagreeing with the narrative. https://news.1rj.ru/str/DrJohnCampbell/133

"Millennium Challenge wasn’t controversial because U.S. forces won, it was controversial because the other side was prohibited from having an actual shot at winning. The lesson of Millennium Challenge is that the enemy will do what it needs to do to win, not what the U.S. military needs it to do."

"The Anti-Defamation League ran an "extensive, multi-dimensional counterintelligence operation" complete with "undercover agents with code names" to destroy the influential anti-communist John Birch Society, internal ADL documents reveal.

"George Washington University professor Matthew Dallek was given access to "some" of the ADL's records on the spying operation from their historical archive for his new book, "Birchers: How the John Birch Society Radicalized the American Right."
