Microsoft has started to shame unsupported Windows 11 PCs by adding a watermark in settings and desktop that says "system requirements not met". This is all done in a last ditch effor to get users to buy PCs with TPM 2.0 so they can collect your data. However they've stated that this watermark can be disabled by modifying settings. This was done so that non tech-savy users get annoyed enough to buy a new PC.

Google Drive's getting a new look and bringing added functionality to Android tablets

With this update, you're going to get new optimizations for tablets, which include a navigation bar that has been moved to the side, making it easier to scroll through the app, particularly folders and files. "Visual components" have been optimized for larger screen, with one such part being the file details for a selected file. While these aren't the most exciting updates, they are quite functional, and optimizing small things like these can make the app that much better and easier to use. Of course, if you want to try out the app, you're always free to do so, just note that the visual update is for Google Workspace accounts.

Spotify removes Zee Music songs owing to licensing dispute

“Spotify and Zee Music have been unable to reach a licensing agreement. Throughout these negotiations, Spotify has tried to find creative ways to strike a deal with Zee Music and will continue our good faith negotiations in hopes of finding a mutually agreeable solution soon.”

Among the many songs that have been removed includes ‘Apna Bana Le’ from Bhediya which has been the number-one track on Spotify in India over the past two weeks. This comes after last year’s move by Zee Music to not renew the licensing agreement with the music app Gaana and following which, a few months later, the app became a subnoscription-only service.

Portions of Twitter's source code were reportedly leaked online

In yet another embarrassing development for new Twitter boss Elon Musk, court filings published Friday reveal that portions of the social media site's source code — the base programming that makes Twitter possible — have been leaked online.

Twitter claimed copyright infringement in an effort to have the offending code taken down from the Github collaborative programming network, where it had been posted.

A first look at using iMessage from a PC with Microsoft’s Phone Link app

When you receive a message that was sent via iMessage it will appear in Phone Link and you can reply and it will also be sent via iMessage so those all-important blue bubbles don’t get broken. But the experience isn’t ideal. You don’t get a full message history here, which means you’ll only see messages from when your PC was on and paired to your iPhone. Notifications for messages also still appear on your phone, so you might get done messaging someone and still see a notification for a message you’ve already read on your PC.

Every time the PC is rebooted or the Phone Link app is closed, the history is fully wiped.
