We are looking to recruit part-time Lecturers in Psychology to teach third-year students enrolled in the BSc Psychology programme, in one or both of the following courses


Occupational Psychology (2 groups of 11 students)
Forensic Psychology (2 groups of 11 students)


Each course is term-long and consists of 10 seminar sessions (lasting 120 minutes each), taught over one term only, between early October 2025 and February 2026 (Occupational Psychology) and between April 2026 and July 2026 (Forensic Psychology) .


You will be responsible for


Delivering the existing syllabus for the course(s), designed by King’s College London, and adapting and enriching the content to fit the ‘active learning’ pedagogy promoted by Forward College.
Designing and implementing the flipped classroom sessions throughout the academic year for a small group of 11 students
Designing tests and formative assessments that will support students in achieving learning outcomes throughout the academic year
Organising and providing one-on-one tutoring sessions to students (20 mins per student), on a minimum of two occasions for each course

The appointment is for a fixed-term contract, to teach one or both of the courses mentioned above, remunerated at a flat rate of … (per course for 2 groups).


Additional teaching will be available in subsequent academic years to provide for growing student numbers.

You should have a passion for teaching and engaging students, be curious about new ways of teaching, have demonstrable excellent interpersonal skills, and have the ability to interact well with staff and contribute to the College’s activities.


You will also have:


A PhD in Psychology from a top-tier University

An excellent level of English

3 PhD Positions on Commitment in Joint Action
The Cognition in Action Lab at the University of Milan applications for 3 PhD positions in connection with a project led by John Michael and Francesco Guala (University of Milan). The position, which will be available for 3 years starting 1 October 2025, is funded by a grant from the Fondo Italiano per Scienza (FIS). The research involves designing and implementing experiments to investigate the emergence of a sense of commitment in joint actions. The overall project includes cross-cultural and cross-species comparisons. The recipient of the scholarship will contribute to theoretical and/or empirical research which may involve case studies from classic social science and/or laboratory testing involving human adults and/or children in various cultures, and/or (depending on interests and expertise) research with non-human animals.

Tasks
• Helping to design experiments and/or case stuudes, recruiting participants and running experiments, preparing and analyzing data, drafting and submitting manunoscripts
• Cooperation with researchers from other research labs involved in the project
• Cooperation with researchers from other disciplines, especially cross-cultural psychology, comparative psychology, and philosophy.

Required education, qualifications and knowledge
• Masters degree in cognitive science or a related field
• Very good command of written and spoken English (C2)
• Skills in experimental design and statistics (preferentially using R), or a willingness to obtain them

Further desired qualifications and competences
• Programming skills
• Good cooperation and communication skills
• Good writing skills
• Good analytical skills
• Experience with cross-cultural, developmental or comparative research

Call for applications: 3 PhD Scholarships in social ontology / social cognition

We are looking for a highly motivated PhD student to join a project in the field of cognitive neuroscience / cognitive modeling. The PhD position is part of the project "Understanding intra- and interindividual variation in human metacognition", involving in particular:

- Time-resolved neural correlates of confidence (EEG)
- Computational modeling of confidence
- Relationship between computational parameters of metacognition and personality
