Had a realisation...

I've been wondering if I'm ace for a while.

And I was in the shower the other day minding my own business thinking shower thoughts, as you do, and it suddenly occurred to me that because I'm single now I never have to have sex again in my life.

And I just felt such an incredible rush of relief I started crying.

So yeah, I think I might be a little bit Ace.

I recently wanted to pick up drawing and realized that I did not have any coloring pencils. Finally managed to get some and made my first pride flag ever :D It's not that well done and quite small but I'm still very proud and hang it up!

Has anybody else considered that "the a stands for ally" is a paradox?

I've been thinking about this for a while, but I feel that when somebody claims that LGBTQIA+ includes "ally," they're creating a logical paradox.

If you look at the definition of "ally" (for example in Merriam-Webster), you'll see:

"a person or group that provides assistance and support in an ongoing effort, activity, or struggle—often now used specifically of a person who is not a member of a marginalized or mistreated group but who expresses or gives support to that group"

And this isn't only in Merriam-Webster. If you call yourself an ally but insert yourself into the marginalized group you're supporting, you're directly contradicting the very definition of ally.

By definition, you can't be an ally of something you are a part of.
