Most of you probably do not know Dylan Thiry but his story is as fun as it is annoying.

He's a French influencer who repeatedly scammed people without getting exposed (until recently).

Fascinating because he's a completely dork that still gets his way.

Doesn't look like a tight call, maybe I should get started on writing about Mourinho 😂
🔥16
José Mourinho, known by many as The Special One and The Enemy of Football, undeniably leaves an impressive legacy.

The perfect example of how a balanced and healthy ego can lead to success, Mourinho's journey is worth analyzing not only from a sports perspective but also in terms of character development.

Mourinho never played professional football; he was a midfielder for various amateur and youth teams in Portugal.

However, he went on to excel as one of the greatest football managers of all time.

His success is attributed not only to his tactical genius but also to his strong character, which allowed him to bring out the best in his players, regardless of the cost.

Mourinho's approach to winning is unique. He doesn't obsess over winning; rather, he sees losing as simply not an option.

Adopting the "I have nothing to lose" mindset, Mourinho instills a sense of being underdogs in his players.

This approach often leads to astonishing performances, especially with clubs that were not favorites to win championships.

Mourinho's ability to inspire players and make them feel like they have more to give is simply fascinating.

He doesn't talk down to his players but conveys the idea that having nothing to lose means having everything to gain.

This results in a deep commitment and admiration from players who never thought they could achieve greatness.

As a manager, Mourinho rallies his team by challenging their beliefs about themselves and pushing them beyond their limits.

He has an undeniable aura and brings it with him wherever he goes.

His confidence in his own abilities is contagious, and being around him makes people feel like they're living a dream.

This confidence also translates into Mourinho's role as a spokesperson for the club. While some might think he seeks attention, there is a deeper tactical genius at play.

As a true leader, Mourinho puts himself on the line and takes the heat, using his confrontational and communicative nature to protect his players and staff.

By drawing attention to himself, he shields his team from criticism.

His actions might seem counterintuitive, but he is often several steps ahead. Although not purely altruistic, there is a genuine balance between benefiting himself and benefiting those around him.

His competence backs up his arrogance and cockiness, and his fearlessness makes others feel empowered.

Interestingly, his confidence not only benefits him but also unnerves his opponents.

He masterfully manipulates power dynamics and human nature to influence and disturb his rivals while simultaneously motivating and boosting the confidence of his own players.

For instance, he might publicly claim to have seen the opposing manager enter the referee's room during halftime, causing disruption on both sides and giving his players an advantage by sensing instability in the opposition.

José Mourinho is a complex public figure, often compared to the modern-day Machiavelli.

He has transformed mediocre teams into champions with his deep understanding of the game.

From a translator to a legend, his unwavering ego has been the driving force throughout his career.

His self-image is so solid that he can openly choose to be criticized to protect those who rely on him.

Outspoken and self-assured, he isn't afraid of criticism (and occasionally owns up to his mistakes).

But he does everything to win and ensures those around him win too.

Mourinho's success didn't come overnight.

He worked as an assistant for over ten years before making a name for himself, honing his skills and learning from the best.

This period allowed him to gain the experience and competence required to become the formidable figure he is today.

Of course, one of the things that make him so special is that beyond being good, Mourinho crosses the line.

He does it often.

But you always know he talks from his heart, or at least he makes sure you think so.

An admirable character because you never know what he's planning, you just know that you need him on your side rather than against you.

His charisma alone does half the job.

His infinite ambition does the rest.

The funniest part is that they say "ego destroys relationships".

But infinite are the examples of people who were close to him and openly spoke about how much trust they have in him:

"I would leave the pitch in a coffin for him" - John Terry, played under him at Chelsea

"I always refused to change position, but I would do it if Mourinho asks me to" - Samuel Etoo

And if you're not particularly knowledgeable about football, those are two icons of the game.

Rare are the people who actually dislike him.

Even less so the people who were close to him.

This is just another message from me:

There are people with a healthy ego and use it to achieve crazy things.

In fact, most of the people who actually manage to achieve anything extraordinary have an incredibly solid self-image.

Remember this story when someone tells you that ego is the enemy.

The Birth of a Cult Leader: Elon Musk and Twitter:

I've been telling you all the time since you've been following me that you need to create a sect around you.

I've already explained to you that having a group of people dedicated to your cause is the only way to succeed online.

You also know that in 2023, if you are not online - you and your skills - you simply don't exist.

Today I give you an example.

Get out your notebook.

We're going to study Elon.

Elon Musk's journey to becoming a cult leader began when he realized the immense potential of Twitter.

With his experiment on Doge Coin, Musk discovered that he could significantly influence markets and shape public opinion.

This realization marked the beginning of a new chapter in Musk's life, where he would use Twitter to impose his version of the truth on the world.

The Epic Saga of Taking Control of Twitter

As Musk's influence grew, so did his status on Twitter.

He transcended from a user to a powerful figure who could control the platform itself.

Elon Musk has become the king of Twitter, with his followers and detractors alike being part of his galaxy.

The Modus Operandi: Control the Narrative and the Channel

Elon Musk's strategy for achieving cult leader status can be broken down into two key components:

- controlling the narrative
- controlling the channel.

Control the narrative:

Elon Musk has always positioned himself in a way that defies expectations.

Unlike Mark Zuckerberg, who is often seen as the villainous face of big tech, Elon presents himself as a benevolent champion of the people.

Control the Channel:

Elon Musk has managed to change the structure of power within Twitter by monetizing an old status symbol (blue check marks) and replacing it with his own.

By doing so, he has gained the power to grant or deny status on the platform, akin to a medieval king knighting someone.

This is how you establish power over your territory:

You topple the existing hierarchy.
You put those who helped you do it in a higher position.

You give them status.
You tax them. (Twitter blue)

It’s also an opportunity to stirr controversy, rally your people behind you, and fight the external enemy.

Free visibility.

If you follow the same strategy to establish your narrative, have powerful memes to back your move.

You’ll give your people a banner to defend and a weapon to do so.

Musk achieved all this while giving the impression that he included his followers in the decision-making process.

This created a sense of unity and belonging among his followers, who viewed the outside world as the enemy.

By controlling the narrative and the channel on Twitter, Elon has created a loyal following that supports his endeavors and sees him as a benevolent leader.

Whether you love him or loathe him, there's no denying that Elon's reign over Twitter is a fascinating phenomenon that is worthy to study…and replicating.

Now let’s talk about technique:

****Elon Musk can be considered a cult leader rather than just an influential figure due to this unique combination of powerful narratives and the nurturing system he has put in place:

User → Commentator → Follower → Subscriber → Fan → Worshipper.

This framework is the secret to cultivating a cult-like following that is not only devoted to you but also resistant to any attempt to "cancel" him.

Elon’s uncancellable status doesn't solely stem from his control over the platform.

…but rather from the community he has nurtured, which sees him as an indispensable leader.

This combination of narrative control, platform influence, and a dedicated following elevates Elon Musk from a mere influential figure to a true cult leader.

Thinking all of this is nothing but coincidence and a random chain of events would be naive.

Elon is not dumb.

Elon is a genius.

Peace is not to be sought but to be enforced.

Those who are incapable of war are never in a position to ask for peace without submission and letting go of their own rights.

You don't deserve peace if you can't handle war.

You are not peaceful, you are cowardly.

Peace comes to those who can do without it.

"Si vis pacem para bellum" is the one saying you should always keep in mind.

Now a lot of people will tell you to "let go of both" and whatever.

"Love everyone!" they say
"Be calm and joyful!" they add

It sounds good on paper.

But in reality what they're implying is that you can get peace without being ready for war and that's completely delusional.

The world doesn't work that way.

Balance is maintained through extremes not through the avoidance of both.

Understand this last sentence.

There cannot be one without the other.

Litmus test:

Ask people what they think of drug use.

Implicitly mention how the effects of cocaine for example makes people feel fearless.

If they say “yea but its not financially sustainable” you’ll know that they’ll do anything for money, thats the main drive

If they say “nah bro it fries your brain” you’ll know they value their lucidity

If they say “if only you could take it without consequences” you’ll know they’re not completely morally correct

Of course those are just examples and they vary depending the person and the context

But the idea is that if you’re going to do small talk, place bets and gauge who you’re talking to

So its not all useless and boring

Stay intentional in everything you do

Make it a habit of bringing yourself back to the present moment.

I know, we get carried away so easily.

But being able to focus back on the NOW will bring you an unmatched feeling of internal peace.

Realizing that you're exactly where you should be or the opposite; realizing that you're wasting your time.

The most meaningful thoughts and reflections come when you bring back your attention to what you're doing right now.

It sounds paradoxical but it works.

Don't get lost in your own thoughts.

Do everything with intention and focus.

Don't get sloppy; it's a waste of time.

HOW TO AVOID SNAPPING

Displaying anger is rarely a good idea.

Of course, some situations call for it; some people simply do not understand anything but that.

But in most cases?

Bad move.

A lot of people will get on your nerves.

They'll say things and behave in ways that are specifically targeted at making you snap and lose your cool.

Sometimes you'll be seeing things that don't exist.

Yea we all get that, don't worry.

Now the sane thing is to think that you should be able to control your anger.

Common sense but easier said than done.

Now let's consider this:

-> What starts anger?

The answer is that anger doesn't usually come out of nowhere.

It slowly (or quickly, depending on how you are) escalates until it gets out of control.

If that's exactly what you want to do, then here is what you should implement:

- Focus on saying less:

Express your disagreement in other ways but verbally. The truth is, the first misplaced word we make usually causes a snow ball as once you cross the line? What's stopping you anymore?

Right?

So instead, let's limit the words.

To avoid overspilling and losing control of what you're saying.

Focus on using the fewest words possible.

Trust me, they'll get it.

You don't need to absolutely lose your shit to get your point across.

Another thing to do is to avoid storming out and getting physically intense.

Because; honestly?

You don't look as cool as you see it in your head.

Avoid that.

If you're about to stop putting up with someone's provocations, make sure you give them a fair warning.

Innocent people will either apologize or try the minimum to fix/clear things up.

Manipulators will either completely deny or get confrontational.

That at least gives you a clearer idea of who you're dealing with and how to proceed.

The Humble Trap

"I'm humble" is the most arrogant thing anyone could ever say.

No, really. Think about it.

Here's the deal:

You don't need to announce it to the world.

It's like the whole "I'm a nice person" thing.

If you're actually nice, people will notice without you having to declare it every five seconds.

But back to the humble game.

How would it make you feel if someone said that about themselves?

You might think, "Cool, I guess?"

But deep down, you'll probably be rolling your eyes, right?

If you've got to tell people how humble you are, chances are you’re the complete opposite.

It's a bit like wearing a shirt that says "I'm super smart."

Like, who are you trying to convince?

This constant desire to project an image of humility is a red flag.

Many are the cases of such deceptive people.

Describing yourself as humble shows how much you care about how you’re perceived.

Is maintaining a good reputation necessary?

Absolutely.

But you do that through your actions not your claims.

Again: Talk is cheap.

And before you act in a specific way:

Don’t ask yourself how will people perceive me?

Ask yourself, how would I perceive it if someone else did the same?
26🔥14
It's easy to assume you're overthinking a situation.

But most of the time? that's not the case.

Most of the time, you're avoiding the conclusion that will hurt your feelings.

It's a tough realization, but you can't run away from it.

We all want to protect our emotions.

Feel safe.

Avoid thinking about the real issue.

But avoiding it only prolongs the inevitable.

And you start going in circles.

Truth is, you're never overthinking.

You're simply in an unhealthy loop of thoughts.

Many times, we resist accepting that we’re wrong because we think it will make us weaker.

But in the end, you end up a stronger and wiser person for it.

Shying away from the pain of growth is refusing to grow.

Refusing to be wrong is refusing to learn.

You cannot get better if you don’t accept your “development arc”.

And part of it is accepting that you're not perfect but you can get close to perfection by facing the difficult questions and being honest with yourself.
20🔥11👍1
Develop your ability to inflict damage.

You have to be capable of violence not to bully innocent people but to protect yourself from bullies.

Most of the time, you won't need to use it.

But when you do need it?

You'd better be capable of it.

This is not an invitation to become violent.

This is an invitation to get stronger.

Physically. Mentally. Financially.

You need to be able to not only get back up from any hit life may send your way.

But also be able to dissuade whoever wants to take what's yours.

And you can't do that if you can't defend yourself.

Get dangerous.
Stay dangerous.

Don't let anyone fuck with you.

You don't magically get lucky.

This does not exist.

People who get lucky were people trying to force their luck for so long.

Even the guy who won the lottery actually went to buy a ticket every day.

You don't get lucky by waiting for luck.

You get lucky by looking for luck.

You get lucky by putting in the reps and getting better.

Gambling may not be the best example here but it's an extreme one to show you that even the most effortless ways of making it still require consistent effort.

There is no point doing anything if you expect results right away.

And if you put it the reps and do it consistently?

Can't it still be called luck?

or forcing probabilities.

Rig the game.

Repeat it as many times as it takes to get it right.

Failure is a step not a final destination.

Learn, get better, get lucky.
