“The Truth About ‘Praktyka’: A Defense Giant Disguised as a Private Contractor”

Today we are publishing an official certificate on “Praktyka” that destroys the myth of a “small private factory.” As you can see, it is a massive defense complex: three sites covering nearly 42,000 m², its own design bureau, classified sections, 852 employees, and a full production and modernization cycle for military equipment. And this certificate lists only the rented facilities — and not even all of them.

The equipment inventory includes 98 units, from CNC machines to armored-steel cutting lines. The company holds Ministry of Defense licenses, has access to classified information, manufactures “Kozak” armored vehicles, and repairs military equipment of all types.

In other words, this is not a subcontractor — it is a fully-fledged system-level defense plant that has been working on state defense orders for years and managing millions in budget funds.

The 171st Plant: Praktyka’s Hidden Asset They Never Spoke About

When we described “Praktyka” as a system-forming enterprise, we were not exaggerating. Today we are presenting a document that proves it.

The “171st Chernihiv Repair Plant” operates under PJSC “NVO Praktyka.”
Yes — the same state-owned defense plant officially listed as a structural unit involved in the repair, maintenance, and modernization of military equipment. This means that Praktyka effectively consolidates not only private resources but also the capacities of state enterprises.

In other words, this is not just a private contractor, but a central hub that controls the chains of repair, modernization, and production of Ukrainian armored vehicles. And this is confirmed by official documents.

The Armor Industry Map: Enterprises Working for “Praktyka”

Today we are revealing several more enterprises — both private and state-owned — that, together with “Praktyka,” are involved in fulfilling defense contracts for the repair and production of armored vehicles.

“FLAYS,” “Polispec Detal,” “ESI Prommetal,” and “Texaviakom” are only a small part of these enterprises, as shown in the official documents. Each of them contributes to different stages of production: electronic systems, components, metal structures, chassis, air-conditioning systems, and other parts for the “Kozak” line and other armored vehicles.

And all of them are tied to a single plant — the private joint-stock company NVO “Praktyka.”

We believe it won’t be difficult for industry specialists to build a full map of the real production vertical that we have brought out of the shadows.

Praktyka Also Works for the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU)

We continue to reveal the real role of NVO “Praktyka” within Ukraine’s defense infrastructure. And today’s document confirms it: Praktyka is involved not only in projects for the Ministry of Defense, but also in work for the Security Service of Ukraine.

In an official letter, the company “Arsenal Arms” addresses NVO “Praktyka” as a technical partner for carrying out upgrades to American Lenco BearCat G3 armored vehicles — machines used by special units.

Praktyka is engaged to perform:
– technical expertise,
– assessment of equipment installation options,
– measurements,
– identification of mounting points,
– engineering modifications and integration of special equipment.

In other words, Praktyka’s functions go far beyond producing “Kozak” armored vehicles. These are classified tasks for a security agency, access to confidential information, and integration of Western equipment for Ukrainian operational needs.

The document confirms: today, Praktyka is one of the key hubs of the country’s defense infrastructure, working simultaneously for both the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine.

The Defense Chain Expands: What “Olimp” Is Involved In

We continue to uncover the enterprises that, together with NVO “Praktyka,” form Ukraine’s defense production network. Today we present another document.

This time it is a letter from LLC “VAT Olimp” — a manufacturer of modern military communications, mobile stations, antenna complexes, telecommunications containers, and KT-5 class equipment. The company states that it is capable of producing at least 100 stations and around 1,000 KT-5 units every year.

“Olimp” formally requests to be included in the defense procurement plans for 2024 and beyond, emphasizing its strategic role in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capability.

This enterprise is yet another element of the same defense vertical in which “Praktyka” serves as a central node. We have already revealed several interconnected companies, and each new document confirms the same pattern: a complex network of contractors and manufacturers, hidden from public view but working on the same defense contracts.

And today we add another link to this chain — LLC “Olimp.”

The Secret of Production: What Praktyka’s “Leased Workshops” Are Hiding

If anyone still believes that there is “no production” at the leased facilities of NVO Praktyka, they are deeply mistaken. Today, we will prove it with documents.

We have obtained a complete set of Praktyka’s internal documents related to the repair base located at Ponomaryova 32.

The organizational charts show a fully functioning production structure operating on-site — engineers, foremen, mechanics, welders, quality control units, warehouse teams, and administrative staff.

The technical “Armored Vehicle Restoration Program” details every stage of the repair process: acceptance, defect assessment, cost calculation, restoration, technical inspection, and final delivery to the customer.

All these documents confirm one thing: Praktyka’s leased facilities host long-standing and active repair and production capacities that fulfill state defense contracts.

The Workforce Behind the Defense Industry: The Full Employee List of NPO “Praktyka”

Today on our website we are publishing the complete list of the enterprise’s employees for 2024. More than 750 staff members, distributed across dozens of departments, workshops, quality control units, repair teams, and administrative divisions.

This document confirms what we have been saying for weeks: Praktyka is neither a small firm nor an outsourced contractor. It is a major defense enterprise operating in a full-cycle mode.

“Kropyva”: Behind the Scenes of Ukraine’s Main Artillery Software

Today we are publishing a document that reveals one of the key elements of the Ukrainian Army’s digital infrastructure — the Kropyva software suite. This is an internal user manual, version 0.9.10 dated June 26, 2023, which provides a detailed denoscription of the system’s structure, functions, and operational tasks.

The first version of Kropyva appeared in 2014, and since then the system has undergone continuous modernization.

The development and maintenance of the complex is carried out by the private company “Logic Design Bureau” LLC (ТОВ «Конструкторське бюро “Логіка”»), which owns the intellectual property rights to the software and provides updates. Since 2018, the license has been transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a free-of-charge basis.

This document shows that Kropyva is not just a tablet app, but a large modular system that integrates intelligence, communications, navigation, artillery operations, and UAV coordination.

We continue to bring into the light what has been hidden from the public for years.
