Struggle with and without arms: The 15th of August and its meaning in the current phase
Following the proposal of Rêber APO (Abdullah Öcalan) expressed in his message released on February 27, 2025, the central committee of PKK held its 12th congress. On May 12, 2025, it took the decision to dissolve the party and halt the armed struggle. On the occasion of the 42th anniversary of the beginning of the armed struggle on August 15, 1984, we want to share with you our analysis about its importance in the Kurdish people‘s history and the meaning behind the decision to interrupt it regarding the current dynamics between international hegemonic and democratic forces.

Rêber APO on Peace: “Wars are never the people’s choice”
On September 1st, the Anti-War Day we share a part of the book “Beyond State, Power and Violence” where Rêber APO explores the contradiction between society’s need for collective freedom and the dominance of war-driven power structures. He argues that the commonly mentioned “peace and stability” is merely a form of partial war—an uneven balance maintained until the next conflict erupts. True peace, he suggests, only emerges when hierarchical power systems are transcended.

On August 25, Çiya Rizgar, a vanguard of the Kurdish Youth Movement, reached martyrdom due to an illness.
"From the moment he joined the Apoist movement to the moment he became a martyr, our comrade Şehîd Çiya Rizgar was a freedom fighter with unprecedented courage and strong commitment. He had passion for free life and a courageous personality. Our comrade Şehîd Çiya Rizgar became an example of the Apoist militancy from Northern Kurdistan to Western Kurdistan and all the areas where he worked. With his friendship, efforts and dedication, he has strengthened the development of all the people and youth of Kurdistan."

▶️ Jina Amini's death sparked resistance worldwide
🌹 September 16 was the 3rd anniversay of Jina Amini's murder. She was a young Kurdish woman from Saqqaz in East Kurdistan (Iranian State) who was captured by the local 'moral police' in Teheran.
⚫️ She was arrested because of the way she was wearing her hijab. On September 16, at the age of 22, she died due to the state's torture.
🌟 She became a symbol for the struggle for autonomy, equality in Iran. Since this day, we see uprisings and revolutionary actions under the slogan 'Jin, Jiyan, Azadi' worldwide.
🔒 The protests against the Iranian regime does not change their approach to political prisoners and the general life conditions of women.
🙋♀This is visible in the situation of three woman activists now arrested in the Evin House Prison who are condemned to death because of their political actions.
🌍 When remembering Jina, we also think of other courageous revolutionaries who defend a socialist and democratic world where every woman can live freely.
