✈️ Delta Boeing plane loses nose tire moments before takeoff: 'Rolled off the runway'

The 31-year-old Boeing 757-200 with the registration code N672DL had been cleared to taxi into position on a runway as it awaited takeoff clearance.

However, while taxiing onto the runway, one of the wheels of the nose gear separated from the aircraft, and rolled into a nearby embankment.

The pilots of the Delta jet contacted maintenance, and they had to come out to the runway to tow the aircraft. The runway ended up remaining closed for a few hours, as this whole process took quite some time.

🤔👀The following morning, the jet flew from Atlanta to San Juan and back, so I guess they got the wheel situation repaired quickly.

However, the plane hasn’t flown in the past 36 hours… is that just because Delta doesn’t need it, or was some other issue was discovered?

BREAKING: The Georgia Senate Ethics Committee has passed a bill that would remove Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger from the Board of Elections and grant the board authority to investigate him for election law violations

The bill will be voted on by the full senate in the coming weeks and should pass both houses easily.

The bill would also allow the BOE to investigate local election officials as well. More importantly, the Board would have the power to hire their own investigators as opposed to relying on the Secretary of State's office to do so.

This is very good news heading into the November election.

Pennsylvania: 24 Conservative Legislators Filed a Federal Lawsuit for Electionaw Violations

The lawsuit challenges three voting-related executive branch actions designed to boost voter registration, including a 2021 executive order by President Joe Biden:

✔️The legality of a 2021 EO by Biden ordered federal agencies to consider ways to expand access to registering to vote and information about voting.

It also challenges two state-level actions:

✔️Last fall's introduction of automatic voter registration in Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D)

✔️A 2018 state directive under then-Gov. Tom Wolf (D) which prohibited counties from rejecting a voter registration application solely on the basis of finding that the applicant submitted a driver's license number or Social Security number digits that don't match what is in a government agency database.

The lawsuit contends legislative approval was never received and the actions are in conflict with existing law.

📝 Also linked below is an article from 9/2023 where Hans von Spakovsky, a senior legal fellow at The Heritage Foundation, explained that Shapiro’s decision to implement Automatic Voter Registration (AVR) unilaterally,via executive fiat appears to violate state law.
