Retired Army Gen. Mark Milley, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and former Marine Gen. Kenneth McKenzie, ex-leader of US Central Command, appeared before the House Foreign Affairs Committee today.

Two former top military commanders told lawmakers today that President Biden ordered the chaotic and deadly US withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021,  despite warnings that it would precipitate the collapse of the Western-backed government in Kabul.  He then waited too long to initiate the evacuation mission.

Texas Republican introduces bill requiring CBP to screen migrants against federal terrorist watch list

Rep. Roger Williams, R-Texas, will introduce a bill in the House of Representatives this week the ‘Identifying Potential Terrorist at the Border Act of 2024’.

This bill would require CBP officers to screen each migrant that crosses the U.S. border, whether legally or illegally, against the terror watch list. Migrants would be detained until a cross-reference search of each one was completed.
