jokes aside, i havent seen this model of battery in a bunch of years. might actually be decomercialized or something, idk, and also it doesnt state it anywhere but im pretty sure that this are NI-MH, even if just by the smell, so that would confirm my theory of "ppl are very lucky that their old batteries dont leak more often"

do you even know how HARD it is to remove the stain from a ni-mh battery off a textile surface? i've had a carpet in my house with such a thing for over ten years, and i can swear that for the first 5-7 of them, every time you looked at it, it looked fresh, as if it just happened seconds ago

im trying to find some info about typical battery expiration dates or whatever, but apparently all links about it are dead (some examples)

apparently, according to "this website we've updated very recently so it might not be applicable to products from the past", currently duracell sells batteries with 12y expiration date. that would mean that this ones are from 2016. which is weird, because i expected them to be a bit older, but welp
