why murica's chocolate tastes so "weird" (bad)
long story short, the company "hershey" started making chocolate with spoiled milk. it had an 11% of cocoa and it was the first mass produced chocolate bar around there, and it ended up being very popular, mostly because it was way cheaper than the competency. generally speaking, if you give some strong flavour to a child, they will grow to tolerate it.
so, that is how the murica population grow used to the flavour of spoiled milk. literally, the flavour of vomit. and they grew to associate the flavour of vomit with chocolate
so anyway, when using spoiled milk to mass produce chocolate was not legally doable anymore, what to do now?
they started adding butyric acid, a thing that is also found in places like human vomit, to mantain the caracteristic """chocolate""" flavour everyone knew already, the flavour that everyone around there equated already with "chocolate flavour"
so anyway, thats the reason i still sit at the childs table. boring adults/boomers dont find this stuff as interesting. i fill their kids with the info and then i go to my house and they will have to deal with their own kids saying "vomit chocolate" all day or whatever
