There is no secret formula in whichever domain you are in. It is just the fundamentals and simple stuff, over and over. Hard work and discipline. Day in, day out, you do the same thing. Then you find a pattern eventually and improve on it. Far too often I have noticed that the people who shill or try to push for some secret method or new way of generating alpha over and over again. A trading guru course. A weight loss pill. A secret martial art technique. A new revolutionary science-based lifting system etc. The truth is that if you want to be better at something, you simply put your time to it, and continuously challenge yourself by doing the basic things right, and progress to doing more difficult things and going out of your comfort zone eventually. This is how you find an edge to dominate in the game.

But it always comes from the basics.

You want to build a better physique and lose weight? Go to the gym and lift weights. Play a sport, do some cardio. Eat at a caloric deficit and have your total caloric expenditure be greater than your intake. Get the best possible macros and have your protein in. Simple stuff, but not easy to execute day in and day out, consistently over weeks and months.

You want to become better at basketball? Work on your shooting form. Work on your layups, dribbles and basic footwork drills. Day in, day out. Train your physical body and technique, until nothing else matters in your mind during the match and you enter flow state. The fanciful stuff comes from a mix and variety of basic skills and movements layered onto each other. A fighter's skills and mastery comes from his ability to work and refine on simple combos and the basic movements over and over until he is able to chain all of them together in a fluid move. A powerlifter's max rep comes from him practicing and refining his technique of the barbell over and over again, at a lower weight first before progressing upwards.

The same thing applies when reading narratives, trading new pairs, charts etc. It looks intuitive and skillful to the master, but intuition is nothing more than the body's accumulated experience of doing the same thing intentionally over and over until it just fits in your head at a snap of a finger. It is the same thing when you see a photographer take a look at a landscape or scene in front of him and instinctively tell how to frame the rule of thirds into his image, where the best lighting is, and how to frame a picture in just seconds, what lens to use... etc. You can observe this mastery at work even on-chain. A guy who can look at a CA or a coin or a project in a few minutes on-chain and determine quickly or how far it can run. How its bundled, who is behind it, if the narrative fits, what the bull and bear case is on-chain. I know people like that and it amazes me. But this doesn't come from inherent talent. Everybody that succeeds at the high level, talent or not, has put in the time.

This universally applies to most domains like writing, coding, trading, drawing, singing etc.

Things can be simple of course. But don't mistake simplicity and how easy it is. It is far more difficult to remain disciplined and practice following a single trading system day in and day out (which is why I respect systematic traders) than it is to just chase your own natural impulses. It is easy to go hard in a single work out and feel like you accomplished something that day, but it is far more difficult to wake up every 5:30am just to head out to the gym and stick to your routine over and over. It is the boring and consistent stuff that people do all day everyday, until it becomes almost perfection. Only then does practice give in to flow, and things become clear for you to see, and that is where your edge is created.

stealing this from an old tweet that i've read before

you are your very own ai agent

if you've been around long enough, your brain has been trained with charts, market sentiments, and data etc.

when you get a gut feel, that is an output from your brain that has been trained over the hours that you've spent online

always pay attention to your gut instincts

there might not be proper reasons to back it up and it might not seem rational at a certain point, but often times traders have good gut feelings

or what we call, 'balls tingling'

i do feel like the sole reason the market still holds on hope for lc is because of pasternak's web2 connections

in a way, that is believe's moat which is something all other launchpads can't replicate

The fact that there can be so wild swings in the market share of the meme launchpad market should imply a discount on their valuations

There is no moat in these businesses

as everyone starts to believe the vision and nobody thinks we're gonna stop anymore

thats more likely where the top is

the funny thing is, as green candles form and emotions rise, the more we want to believe what is fed to us

the more we want something to be true, the more likely we are to believe in a story that overestimates the odds of it being true

a mix of conviction and confirmation bias
