Hawkish pause. Fed officials unanimously held rates in a range of 5% to 5.25%, but see two more hikes this year. Jerome Powell said it's appropriate to "moderate the pace" after the scramble to tighten in 2022. He played down the dot plot, but said inflation risks remain on the upside and called cuts "a couple of years out." Swaps show easing as unlikely this year.
Stocks closed little changed after Powell's comments. Two-year Treasury yields climbed three basis points to 4.7% and the dollar weakened. Oil fell, while metals were broadly higher.

The price of the USDC/USDT trading pair on Binance continued to rise, and has currently reached $1.0034, a high since June 13, 2022. In fact, USDT fell by 0.3%. USDT accounted for 73.79% of Curve 3pool, DAI accounted for 13.05%, and USDC accounted for 13.16%. Users exchange USDT for other stable coins.

Twenty minutes after czsamsun.eth borrowed USDT, another address (0xd2...0701) mortgaged 52,200 stETH through Aave V2 and borrowed 50 million USDC, using USDC>USDT de-peg, with a few million USDC converts USDC from Curve to USDT in batches at a time, and each operation can obtain an additional 1000-8000 USDT.
