Hawkish pause. Fed officials unanimously held rates in a range of 5% to 5.25%, but see two more hikes this year. Jerome Powell said it's appropriate to "moderate the pace" after the scramble to tighten in 2022. He played down the dot plot, but said inflation risks remain on the upside and called cuts "a couple of years out." Swaps show easing as unlikely this year.
Stocks closed little changed after Powell's comments. Two-year Treasury yields climbed three basis points to 4.7% and the dollar weakened. Oil fell, while metals were broadly higher.

The price of the USDC/USDT trading pair on Binance continued to rise, and has currently reached $1.0034, a high since June 13, 2022. In fact, USDT fell by 0.3%. USDT accounted for 73.79% of Curve 3pool, DAI accounted for 13.05%, and USDC accounted for 13.16%. Users exchange USDT for other stable coins.
In Aave V2, the USDT lending rate has soared, among which the deposit rate has soared by more than 20%, and the loan rate has soared by more than 30%. Some large households have lent USDT on Aave and sold it on DEX such as Curve.
czsamsun.eth borrowed 31.5 million USDT from Aave V2 by using 17,000 ETH and 14,000 stETH as collateral, then exchanged all the borrowed USDT into USDC on 1inch. Afterwards, the borrower deposited 10 million USDC and 21 million USDC to V2 and V3 respectively. Then, the borrower borrowed 12 million USDT from V3 and deposited it into V2. Twenty minutes after czsamsun.eth borrowed USDT, another address (0xd2...0701) mortgaged 52,200 stETH through Aave V2 and borrowed 50 million USDC, using USDC>USDT de-peg, with a few million USDC converts USDC from Curve to USDT in batches at a time, and each operation can obtain an additional 1000-8000 USDT.

usdt eventually restored peg after awhile
i think what we're seeing here is something similar, whales playing w the peg and playing on the fear and irrationality of retail

Someone firesold $520M USDT paying 400% premium to get out to just $130M USDC. It pushed the USDT peg to .995. That means 10B USDT need to be sold to crash the peg to 0.9. Analysis? @Bitfinexed @BlackRock
