HMX airdrop results are out

claimable on 10 September

quite pleased w my airdrop, I got about ~4x

note that the airdrop is in $esHMX, hence there is a one year vesting schedule

will start vesting early so that when the bullrun comes i'll be able to cash out

that said, i don't think i need to allocate to HMX anymore given this esHMX airdrop and in any case i'm being forced to hold for 1y

happy to do so since i'm bullish on HMX as well

based on what I'm reading in the HMX chat, some whales were unhappy they received zero allocation for the esHMX airdrop despite doing high volumes

but it was because they completely missed deadlines...

and so they rage dumped their HMX tokens

current PA could also possibly be due to:
1. people exiting their LP (hence selling HMX) after the airdrop results are out
2. after receiving fat airdrop allocation, investors selling off liquid HMX given that they have enough esHMX as exposure
3. bear market tingz

will continue observing metrics to decide if they were inflated from the airdrop and will sell off my liquid HMX if needed

Hyperliquid

you'll probably recognise hyperliquid as the degen perp dex that trades FRIEND (friendtech) and the most recent ZRO hyperp

imo Hyperliquid's positioning will be as a memecoin/degen index perp dex which makes it stand out from competitors

just as how telegram bots ride on memecoin sniping, Hyperliquid will ride on memecoin perps/degen indices and perp dex narrative

Hyperliquid runs on its custom built L1 that is focused on running a perp dex. It uses a tuned version of Tendermint, but does not rely on Cosmos SDK.

Trading thus far has been gasless, making it quite a smooth experience. Gas is only required during deposit/withdrawal which takes place on Arbitrum (only USDC.e is accepted for now).

I participated in some vaults as well to increase my airdrop chances. Will be moving to trade on Hyperliquid for now.

It is currently in mainnet alpha and requires a referral code to access.
