@MelseleDude: "The denoscription and dollar value are for the highest estimated quantity and dollar value based on initial requirements. Actual dollar value will be lower depending on final requirements, budget authority, and signed sales agreement(s), if and when concluded.

The unit price for PAC-3 MSE is ~$4 million."

I don't know why this is so confusing for you.

RT @FRHoffmann1: This is good news, though it may not be directly related to Ukraine.

The DoD has a clear interest in scaling JASSM production, regardless of whether some JASSMs are sent to Ukraine. https://twitter.com/ColbyBadhwar/status/1824198278780522930#m

RT @Iron_Man_Actual: Sure hope this isn’t DoD’s policy approach to its own operations.

Striking the enemy’s staging areas with long range fires in their territory is in our own doctrine! https://twitter.com/ColbyBadhwar/status/1824182967180079327#m

@FRHoffmann1: Yes this was planned since at least 2022, but increasing production means the USAF will be more willing to part with existing inventory.

@ArthurSBandit: Increasing JASSM & LRASM production is significant aside from Ukraine. It has implications for the USAF's willingness to part with their existing inventory though. Escalation concerns are only half the problem; DoD intransigence is the other.

@GotfrydEpsztajn @Jeff21461: I don't know what else I can do to explain this to you.

$5 billion is an estimate. An estimate that includes more than just the unit price of the missiles. The possible sale includes associated equipment and services, which can add a lot of additional costs. If they end up actually signing a contract, it will be for less than $5 billion. The unit cost of the missiles is not going to significantly deviate from the current average, which is $4 million.

RT @SlawomirDebski: The Biden administration expects Ukrainians to fight a war in a manner that the Pentagon would deem ineffective, as it would give the Russians a strategic advantage. Concerns about long-range missiles leading to escalation seem like a call for Ukraine to bleed out, but by no means win the war. https://twitter.com/ColbyBadhwar/status/1824182967180079327#m

@mackpl1981 @200__zoka: The guy demanded visual evidence from something i never claimed was based on visual evidence. He did it solely as a defensive mechanism when he could not back up his claim. I dont have time for that shit.

RT @TonyaLevchuk: This morning brought an overwhelming amount of news from the frontlines across various regions. I'm still processing it all and will share more details when I can. For now, I urge you to continue supporting Ukraine and its defenders, not just in Kursk but also in Pokrovsk. As I write this, our team in Lviv is packing aid, including drones, batteries, and more, to send to these areas. Additionally, I'm working on securing a vehicle and other essential supplies.

@OmiljeniDaidza @ArthurSBandit: They should be. Not as high of a priority as JASSM & SLAM-ER though.
