The F-35B is the short takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL) variant of the Joint Strike Fighter, and the aircraft were from the Royal Air Force’s (RAF’s) 617 Squadron “The Dambusters” and the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm’s 809 Squadron “Immortal.”

🚨🇺🇸BREAKING: MASSIVE FIRE ERUPTS ON CONTAINER SHIP IN L.A., 100+ FIREFIGHTERS DEPLOYED, 6 CREW MISSING
Fire erupted aboard the "1 Henry Hudson" Friday evening, sending 100+ firefighters racing to battle flames in multiple cargo bays containing hazardous materials.
An explosion at 7:58 p.m. knocked out power and crane operations.
Six crew members remain unaccounted for while two stayed aboard.
Fifteen were safely evacuated.
Incident Command banned firefighters from going below deck due to extreme danger from hazmat cargo.
Marine units are cooling the ship's exterior while crews in full protective gear battle the blaze from above.
The vessel remains stable despite massive water volume being pumped aboard.
