and then, you became this person who thinks twice before replying to a text message. who keeps their guard up all the time – whose head tells them to run at the first sign of love.
You have kept your heart hidden. you know you’re not ready to love, and that’s why you just hold yourself back from letting your guard down.
head and heart are opposites – head wants you to take the safest route while the heart wants you to run as if you’re in a marathon.
You know what they say – listen to your heart in the matters of love, but what do you do when you get your heart broken? who do you listen to?
That conflict between your head and heart – it keeps you up at night. to text them or not. to reread their conversations or not. you’ve had countless conversations with yourself, battling with a dilemma.
Your mind tells you to forget them, but then, there is your heart telling you to not let go just yet. to your head, this heartbreak becomes a lesson – but to your heart, it’s just a setback.
The heart is naïve and wants what it wants. after a heartbreak, you just let your brain do all the things for you. and perhaps, that’s why, you start to love people less and doubt them more. perhaps, when it comes to love, we need to use both. and often, we don’t.

50 years ago, marriage was easy but divorce was difficult. Nowadays it is difficult to get married but divorce is so easy.
50 years ago, we got to know all the neighbors. Now we are strangers to our neighbors.
50 years ago, people had to eat a lot because they needed the energy to work hard. Now we are afraid to eat fatty foods for fear of the cholesterol.
50 years ago, villagers were flocking to the city to find jobs. Now the town people are fleeing from the stress to find peace.
50 years ago, everyone wanted to be fat to look happy ... Nowadays everyone diets to look healthy.
50 years ago, rich people pretended to be poor. Now the poor are pretending to be rich.
50 years ago, people loved to study and read books ... now people love to update Facebook and read their whatsapp messages.

Drowning yourself in the ocean of millions of unfamiliar emotions, brimming with fear and anxiety. Craving for listeners, for love and care.
With those cut marks, those ugly bruises and those black patches on your flawless skin. And pushing yourself out of the bed forcefully every day to live one more day. Trying every new way to hurt yourself.
You are a Skeleton covered with flesh and there's a tiny ray of hope that hold them together. That little hope which pushes you each time to breathe. Every time you put your fingers on your wrist you'll feel a thunder of applause for your small brave heart for helping you to survive all those attempts to die.
Look yourself in the mirror ask yourself, "Is this life which you chose for yourself is fair enough?" "It's ok not to be ok but till when?" "How can you allow this not ok at the cost of your life?"
Nobody is perfect and it is the flaws that make us different from each other. So wake up today and cry your heart out. Wear your favourite dress, sway your body on your favourite tune, take out your favourite Teddy you bought for yourself and hug it tightly. Go out and talk to the sky, smile at the sun, give a high five to the moon(even moon has its flaws) and wink back to stars.
Put your earphone on and play your favourite playlist, sleep as you had Never before by this time, defeat your insomnia and let your ugly dark circles suffocate. Do all these in an attempt to not take yourself for granted anymore at any cost.
