AI really helps us a lot it changed this messy ER Diagram into fully functional models with some additional tables and best practices.

we just need to use it to our advantage try things ourselves, rely on it for additional functionalities, and especially use it to enhance the concepts we already understand.

Man...I spent like 3 hours trying to fix this prisma initialization issue no help from ai no help from the docs nothing I tried everything 😭

Turns out prisma v7 changed a bunch of stuff under the hood so when I tried to initialize it it just kept failing silently no clear error even ai was confused lol 😁

Ended up digging through their github issues and codebase and finally found it, Prisma v7 now initializes prismaClient before nestjs loads env variables and since older versions injected envs directly in the schema this never happened before

the fix
just initialize prisma after all envs are loaded use ConfigService inside your prisma/db service and set it up there.

worked instantly if you updated to prisma 7 and your app suddenly broke yeah this is probably why 😅

Nest.js is insane in how much effort and complexity it saves in Node projects. I use it for big apps and even smaller ones because the structure is so clean and the paradigm is also good. The only downside is deployment it’s not as straightforward to deploy as an express app special on vercel.

I hate react's documentation tho😌

Been thinking a bit more and OpenAI has released Sora, Atlas, Group Chats, Apps, GPT-5.1, Product Research, ChatGPT for Teachers and more products and features this past few months but nothing is sticking or has stuck around for longer than launch week. They can set trends, but somehow can't keep it.

Currently, they don't have the best model, Anthropic has, they don't have the best image gen model, Google has, they don't have the best browser and more. What they have is a good video gen model but that's behind Sora. What they have is the best chat product. Their ChatGPT web and mobile app. Sam has also been awfully quiet since Gemini 3 launch too. They're either grinding out the next big thing for them, or they're actually behind.

It's a bit concerning. 🤔
