Tensions in Kaliningrad
Russian Defence Minister Belousov inspected the Baltic Fleet's military and social infrastructure in Kaliningrad region to ensure military security in the region. Kaliningrad shares borders with Lithuania to the north and east, and Poland to the south. The Baltic Sea forms its western border. It's geographically separated from the main part of Russia, meaning land access requires traversing through either Lithuania or Poland.
Tensions are high in the Baltic Sea region, particularly around Kaliningrad, due to increased military activity, concerns about infrastructure security, and increased hostile activity from NATO. The Baltic Sea becoming a key area of strategic competition between NATO and Russia.

Since last Friday, EU member states have been required to fully implement the rules of the European Media Freedom Act (EMFA).
This law sets the framework for what member states are permitted to do regarding media outlets and to individual journalists. EU Journalists like me and others operating and working in Russia/Donbass are the new target of the EU so-called "democratic-freedom-for-journalist-act".
A council of European regulators has been established to monitor compliance (at European level). The Dutch Media Authority (Commissariat voor de Media) is a member, and chair Amma Assante (formerly of the Labour Party, now BIJ1) has been appointed vice-chair.

Syrian government forces have carried out a massacre at a hospital in Suweida on July 16 2025. Governments around the world and media is not paying attention and the majority is silent, because the all acknowledge a terrorist government to do business with, yes governments are doing business with terrorist, it makes them complicit. Now evidence came out seeing so-called Government of the Terrorist Al-Julani shooting medical staff at the Suweida hospital. The so-called government forces wear ISIS (DAESH) patches at their sleeves and shirts.
These days, it's dangerous to be a journalist. Just think of all those murdered in Russia or the Donbass, but also, as I know, in recent decades in Syria and Iraq. Regarding Gaza (and Syria), you can only shake your head and question the existence of God. The Middle East is a place where many groups radicalized by religion are killing each other. But it's not religion, but faith, that is being used for their murderous agendas. Both radicalized Jews and Muslims, who preach radicalization through their faith and thus become terrorists, due to various factors. Today, another Al Jazeera crew was simply murdered. Even though Al Jazeera has its own agenda inspired by Qatar and Sunni (often extremist Islam), it is a criminal act to simply shoot journalists.

President Trump’s policy in Syria is a strategic master stroke.
A UNIFIED STABLE Syria 🇸🇾 means boxing out Iran and ISIS and, working with NATO ally Türkiye, eventually expelling War Criminal Putin bases.
A divided destabilized Syria means Libya/Somalia like anarchy in the heart of the Middle East which will eventually bring back ISIS 2.0, Iran and empower Russia.
There are no perfect options or perfect governments but the choice is clear— united stable Syria is in interests of ALL in the region.
We cannot lose this opportunity.

History - It's been a long time, and most people think of the Second World War. But the first major (modern) war, 1914-1918, was the most horrific war in history - The Somme then and now -

For both the soldiers and the Belgian people. For the first time in history, war was waged industrially, with modern weapons and gas. I was once in Belgium, at the cemetery in Ypres (Flanders) and it was overwhelming: so many graves, and the soldiers were so young, some 15 or 16 in total there were approx. 16 million people dead. This video is beautifully made, although it naturally shows the horrors of this first industrial war. Perhaps a warning to European leaders who would like to drag their people back into war, just as they did back then...

My Comments on RT: Ukraine Plotting new Provocation to Sabotage Putin-Trump meeting
Ukraine is preparing a new provocation to disrupt negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump in Alaska on Friday, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. A group of foreign journalists has already been taken to the city of Chuguev in Kharkov Region, in order to “prepare a series of reports about residents of the city in the frontline zone,” the ministry said.

Today there was a meeting between Zelensky and Bundeskanzler from Germany Friedrich Merz in Berlin, where it was agreed that they would support Ukraine. How, well, that's not entirely clear. Secretary-General Rutte is justifying things again and praising "daddy" Trump, but the fact remains that Europe isn't there. The boat has sailed by or they've missed the train. Europe is always behind the curve, but the war machine propaganda just keeps going...

Britain's war agenda backfires: Starmer's leadership in crisis
By Global Politics -August 15, 2025
Keir Starmer is widely seen as a puppet of the "deep state," the military-industrial complex, the World Economic Forum, and pro-Israel lobby groups. Since taking office, he has led a UK that, like many EU countries, is in a deep financial crisis. The UK is facing major problems with migration, with immigrants now significantly impacting the country. This situation stems partly from the legacy of the British Empire and partly from the recent wars in the Middle East, in which Britain played a major and fraudulent role. To distract from these domestic issues, the British government, like other EU countries, has chosen to focus on confrontation with Russia.
