President Trump’s policy in Syria is a strategic master stroke.
A UNIFIED STABLE Syria 🇸🇾 means boxing out Iran and ISIS and, working with NATO ally Türkiye, eventually expelling War Criminal Putin bases.
A divided destabilized Syria means Libya/Somalia like anarchy in the heart of the Middle East which will eventually bring back ISIS 2.0, Iran and empower Russia.
There are no perfect options or perfect governments but the choice is clear— united stable Syria is in interests of ALL in the region.

For both the soldiers and the Belgian people. For the first time in history, war was waged industrially, with modern weapons and gas. I was once in Belgium, at the cemetery in Ypres (Flanders) and it was overwhelming: so many graves, and the soldiers were so young, some 15 or 16 in total there were approx. 16 million people dead. This video is beautifully made, although it naturally shows the horrors of this first industrial war. Perhaps a warning to European leaders who would like to drag their people back into war, just as they did back then...

Ukraine is preparing a new provocation to disrupt negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump in Alaska on Friday, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. A group of foreign journalists has already been taken to the city of Chuguev in Kharkov Region, in order to “prepare a series of reports about residents of the city in the frontline zone,” the ministry said.

Today there was a meeting between Zelensky and Bundeskanzler from Germany Friedrich Merz in Berlin, where it was agreed that they would support Ukraine. How, well, that's not entirely clear. Secretary-General Rutte is justifying things again and praising "daddy" Trump, but the fact remains that Europe isn't there. The boat has sailed by or they've missed the train. Europe is always behind the curve, but the war machine propaganda just keeps going...

Several residential buildings were damaged in a drone attack on Rostov-on-Don in southern Russia. According to preliminary reports, at least 13 civilians were injured. Several apartment buildings were damaged. The residents of the buildings damaged by the drones are being evacuated. This is one day before the Alaska talks between Putin and Trump.

Guangzhou and the area Guangdong is located in southern China, not far from Hong Kong and the Hainan island province of China and the nation’s southernmost point. Guangzhou It is a large city with surrounding suburbs (Guangdong), has a population of approximately 32 million, and the city center itself, around 18 million. The beautiful architecture includes the box-shaped Guangdong Museum, the Library, built in the shape of a book, and the iconic Canton TV Tower, which resembles a thin hourglass. The Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, a temple complex dating from 1894, houses the Guangdong Folk Arts Museum. The city is steeped in history, dating back to the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BCE), the first imperial dynasty of China, unifying the previously warring states. It is known for its centralized government, standardization of language and measures, and ambitious construction projects, including the early Great Wall (found in northeast China, not in Guangzhou).

Met grote verbazing en een vleugje amusement las en bekeek ik allerlei reacties (op YouTube) van allerlei “specialisten”, elk met een nog erger doemscenario dan de ander (voor Europa). Of ze waren er zeker van dat er een “vredesverdrag” zou komen, of misschien zou Zelensky onverwachts opduiken – met andere woorden: een mediahype.

Ook was er uitgebreide media-aandacht voor een mogelijke landruil tussen Zelensky en Poetin, er werden hele scenario’s met specialisten in de media voorgevoerd. Zelensky vluchtte in paniek naar Berlijn, naar de agressieve, oorlogszuchtige bondskanselier Merz. In Nederland was het niet veel beter, met minister van Defensie Ruben Brekelmans en de officieuze premier (de regering is gevallen) Dick Schoof die Zelensky resoluut steunde (op X met ferme woorden).

Maar wat jammer voor het Westen, waar politici altijd liegen en bedriegen (de meesten van hen), er is niets gebeurd. President Poetin is niet het westerse leugentype en blijft gewoon bij zijn standpunten; zijn vredesvoorstel en plan uit 2024 zijn nog steeds van kracht.

Ursula von der Leyen, raised in wealth and mother of seven children, shows as little empathy for ordinary citizens as Angela Merkel, the childless, calculating leader before her. They are cold, power-hungry women. Some claim that “if women ruled the world, there would be no wars,” but that’s false. What matters is leadership, humanity and experience – the rest is just technocratic maneuvering.
