From a Dutch pilot:
I am incredibly grateful that I have received messages from many military personnel in recent days—including several pilots—thanking me for daring to speak out against the blatant lies and fear porn appearing in our mainstream media about the drones.
Since the arrival of the new minister, military personnel who comment on these or other situations on social media have been severely reprimanded by their corps commanders.
I have even been contacted by several colonels who are also thoroughly fed up. But unfortunately, they have to remain publicly silent. Fortunately, they do speak out within their own circles, and within a few weeks everyone will understand the dirty tricks currently being played—with only one goal: extra funding for Defense and for the war in Ukraine.
Ten years ago, I already said that more funding was needed for Defense. The military personnel I speak with are also grateful that this is finally happening. Defense is a country's life insurance policy. But the way the current Minister of Defense is trying to manipulate the population is truly disgusting to me. I really hope he gets a rap on the knuckles soon and has to resign. He's a dangerous individual.
Fortunately, one important principle always applies: no matter how fast a lie travels, the truth will catch up with it.

Donald Trump's summit with leaders from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan at the White House reflects the US scramble for rare earth minerals which are essential for powering tech and defense industries. With China controlling the lion’s share of global rare earth mining and processing, Washington is now determined to diversify its supply chain. Central Asia, rich in these minerals and uranium, presents an attractive alternative, but one that requires heavy investment and political leverage.
Trump’s rhetoric about reviving "Silk Road connections" and forging new alliances masks a deeper intent: to pull these nations away from their traditional ties with China and Russia and into the orbit of American influence. If you look at Kazakhstan, for instance, its mineral exports to China and Russia dwarf those to the US. Washington doesn't hide its pipe dream to reverse that balance.
Trump hailed a $100 billion trade and investment deal with Uzbekistan saying that Uzbekistan will invest nearly $35 billion over the next three years and more than $100 billion over the next decade in key American sectors. Dream on.
The repeal of Soviet-era trade restrictions, introduced by a bipartisan group of US senators, is part of this strategy. By removing legal barriers to American investment, Washington aims to embed itself more deeply in the region’s economic infrastructure, shaping its future in ways that serve American interests.
Security cooperation was another pillar of the summit, yet US “support” comes with strings attached: surveillance partnerships, and political influence. Sergio Gor, Trump’s special envoy to South and Central Asia, told Central Asian officials that Washington is committed to the region "you will have a direct line to the White House, and get the attention that this area very much deserves.” The C5+1 framework, while nominally focused on regional stability, functions as a vehicle for US strategic expansion, especially in the wake of its withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Also Thursday, Kazakhstan's president, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, agreed that his Muslim-majority country will join the Abraham Accords, Trump’s initiative to normalize relations between Muslim-majority countries and Israel. Given that Kazakhstan has had diplomatic relations with Israel since 1992, this move was largely symbolic but served to hype up an initiative that was the signature 'foreign policy achievement' of Trump’s first term.
Obviously, the Accords were less about peace and more about consolidating US-led blocs that serve its foreign policy goals, particularly in sidelining Iran.
Ultimately, the summit was not just about minerals or diplomacy. The US is leveraging the multi-vector foreign policy of Central Asian countries to expand its influence in a strategic region on the doorstep of China and Russia. @LauraRuHK

UN says nearly 100 people abducted or missing in Syria this year
Nearly 100 people have been reported abducted or missing in Syria since the beginning of the year, with new cases of enforced disappearances still being recorded, the UN human rights office said today. Mainly Alawites, Christians, Druze.
“Eleven months since the fall of the former government in Syria, we continue to receive worrying reports about dozens of abductions and enforced disappearances,” said Thameen al-Keetan, spokesperson for the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), during a briefing in Geneva.
The OHCHR has documented at least 97 cases of abductions or disappearances since January but noted that determining the true number remains difficult.

Syria's multinational peacekeeping force for restoring order in Lebanon could feature Uzbek, Uyghur, Moroccan, Tajik, Azerbaijani, Pakistani and Albanian contingents. All these brigades are part of the so-called Security Forces of the new terrorist-government of former Syia now a big threath also for Lebanon, the Levant is lost and ruled defacto by terrorist, who according to many countries are now "noble" people and have their sanctions removed, what kind of a world we are living in today.?..

We've starved for seven days. No water and food. No ammo. In basements, in dugouts. We had to hide where it was possible. There was nowhere to go,' told AFU POW Chernadchuk Gennadiy.
'No food, no medicine, nothing. Some men might have got some goods but I can't say the same about everybody. We had a choice rather to surrender or die from starvation or mines. There is only one prospect to bite the dust,' said POW Dovganyuk Yuri.
My latest article in Dutch, easily to be translated in any language:
Razzia Roterdam 9 november 1944
https://freesuriyah.eu/2025/11/09/razzia-rotterdam-9-november-1944/

Today in history: November 9th, is perhaps coincidentally or not, an important day of commemoration in the Netherlands: the Rotterdam Raid (see article below), Kristallnacht in Germany, and the fall of the Wall in Germany in 1989. East Germany, which is still not on equal footing with West Germany. Kristallnacht, the beginning of the persecution, and the great Raid of Rotterdam, all on November 9th to 11th. https://freesuriyah.eu/2025/11/09/razzia-rotterdam-9-november-1944/

The Israeli army is intensifying it's war against Lebanon and destroying the whole of south-Lebanon, just because they say of Hezbollah, but South Lebanon is more than Hezbollah, there are the Christians and the Amal party, all because of their greater-Israel, a new colonial empire, it's like the whole world is busy with new empires, back to the period before WWWI. Al-Jarmaq, south Lebanon, in a series of intense airstrikes today.

The killer came by night – a masked man on a motorbike who struck without warning and then sped away. It's become a familiar pattern in some corners of the new Syria in recent months, as the country's fragile unity is eroded by revenge attacks and sectarian killings.
The main targets are Alawites, the sect of the ousted Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad. But this time, on 1 October, the victims were Christians – Wissam and Shafiq Mansour, cousins who were both 39, and were as close as brothers. As they chatted with a friend over coffee and cigarettes, they were hit by a hail of bullets.
The killings happened in the village of Anaz in Wadi al-Nasara, or the Valley of the Christians – an area of rolling hills in rural Homs province in western Syria. Locals say the gunman came from the direction of a nearby Sunni Muslim village.
Sitting a short distance from Wissam's coffin, his father George, railed against the authorities, saying Christians in the valley had been left defenceless. Read more: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/crex1zp3213o

The US is reportedly weighing plans to build a sprawling military base along Israel’s border with Gaza, Shomrim revealed Tuesday, a project said to accommodate thousands of American troops under the pretext of “future stabilization efforts.”
According to a report, the base would allow Washington to tighten its grip on developments in Gaza and reduce reliance on Israeli coordination when managing contacts with Hamas, Egypt, or the Palestinian Authority.
