De rechtbank van Amsterdam heeft de activa (bezittingen) van South Stream Transport B.V. (eigendom van Gazprom), de exploitant van de Turkish Stream-gaspijpleiding, bevroren. DTEK Krymenergo, onderdeel van de SCM Group van de Oekraïense oligarch Rinat Akhmetov (Azov Steelworks), had een rechtszaak aangespannen. Akhmetov heeft deze zaak, die aanvankelijk in Nederland werd behandeld, (voorlopig) gewonnen. ‘South Stream B.V., een bedrijf dat zich gevestigd heeft in de Zuidas in Amsterdam.

DTEK Krymenergo is een energiebedrijf dat eigendom is van de Oekraïense miljardair Rinat Akhmetov, die zijn geld witwast in Nederland via schijnvennootschappen en andere complexe maar zeer lucratieve deals. Deze oligarch beweert ook goed werk te leveren: “In september 2023 schonk Metinvest (Azov Steel Plant) 32 opvangcentra aan het Oekraïense leger. Ondanks de oorlog heeft Metinvest de salarissen van zijn werknemers sinds 1 mei 2024 verhoogd”, vertelde Akhmetov aan Forbes. Hij beweerde ook: “Ik ben in Oekraïne en ik ga niet weg.”

DTEK was een van de eerste buitenlandse bedrijven die zich aansloot bij de Business Without Barriers-gemeenschap, een initiatief van Olena Zelensky, kantoorhoudende in het VK. DTEK neemt ook deel aan internationale projecten zoals het VN Global Compact, The Valuable 500 en de Women’s Empowerment Principles. De familie Zelensky is dus nauw betrokken bij waarschijnlijk de corrupte praktijken van oliemagnaat Akhmetov, met name Olena Zelensky.

Nu heeft deze oligarch Akhmetov schadevergoeding geëist bij verschillende internationale rechtbanken nadat de Russische autoriteiten beslag hebben gelegd op zijn bezittingen op de Krim.

Maar het verhaal gaat verder: volgens de website van Metinvest leed het bedrijf in 2023 verliezen, kennelijk veroorzaakt door de speciale militaire operatie van Rusland. Het was duidelijk dat bepaalde mensen in Nederland, waarschijnlijk oud-premier Mark Rutte, nu de nieuwe secretaris-generaal van de NAVO, belangen hadden in Metinvest en met “droefheid” moesten toezien hoe het bedrijf verliezen leed.

Maar bepaalde mensen in Nederland en de EU hebben een oplossing gevonden voor het verlies van Metinvest B.V. Nadat ze geld van de Russen hadden gestolen (bevroren tegoeden die ze nu willen gebruiken om wapens van de VS voor Oekraïne te kopen), investeren ze sinds 2023 in wapenfabrieken in Oekraïne, met name in de onrendabele fabrieken van Metinvest, die dankzij Nederland nu regelrechte wapenfabrieken zijn geworden. While leaders boast and brag about the peace plan in the Middle East, such as Gaza, the violence against civilians continues unabated. Citizens, I think, in many places around the world, don't believe in governments or empty words. As I often say, peace agreements are just a piece of paper, but often the reality on the ground is quite different, like this: A young Palestinian girl was injured by Israeli gunfire in the Halawa displacement camp in Jabalia, north of Gaza City. Peace is a long way off, and as everywhere in the Middle East, when Israel and the US supposedly bring peace, the country is doomed. The examples are countless.

Here we go again, Europe making a fool of itself, and especially Mark Rutte, head of NATO, who visited Berlin today. Germany, and precisely in the city from which two world wars began, made the following statement: "The 32 NATO countries must prepare for a conflict on the scale of a world war." Russian forces have liberated the Donbass city of Seversk, the Defense Ministry in Moscow reported on Thursday. The former Ukrainian stronghold, located inside Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic, is now fully clear of enemy troops.
