The Port of Rotterdam is preparing for a potential conflict with Russia by reserving space for military cargo vessels, according to the Financial Times.
Previously, the port lacked a dedicated berth for handling weapons shipments. Now, a container terminal will serve as the only secure location for transferring ammunition.
The Dutch Ministry of Defence also confirmed that, at NATO’s request, Rotterdam will provide space for ships carrying military equipment.
