🇻🇪 Meet: MaryBran Torres — Ecopulse eco-leader from Venezuela
Winner of our Global Cleanliness Challenge and a person who lives through creativity and ecology.
MaryBran is an integral artist of Venezuela’s theater and circus movement with a rich career in theater, dance, painting, production, choral performance, and cultural audiovisual projects. She founded two creative schools — Crisart and MaryBran Art Music Dance, which have brought children and adults together around art for many years.
Today, she is also actively involved in the environmental life of her country. Venezuela has green parties, environmental ministries, and eco-initiatives across schools, churches, and universities — and MaryBran aims to make the Ecopulse movement a meaningful part of this process.
For MaryBran, ecology is a path of inspiration and personal responsibility. She believes that people unite around positive examples — and this is how she inspires her community: through creativity, action, and the belief that the world changes when we change ourselves.

«I dream of creating a permanent Ecopulse eco-space in Venezuela — a place where children can attend lectures and games, where excursions and volunteer groups are formed, where plant nurseries are created. A place where Ecopulse organizers and eco-leaders from all over the world can come to exchange experiences and build new projects together».

Many people think that a disposable coffee cup is “just paper.”
But unfortunately… it’s not paper at all 🙃
To prevent a hot drink from soaking through, every such cup has a thin layer of polyethylene (PE) — a plastic coating.
This is what makes the cup “waterproof.”
If it were made of plain paper, your coffee would turn it into mush within minutes.
❗Important:
On the outside, the cup is paper — but on the inside, it’s plastic.
These layers are almost impossible to separate, which is why such cups are hardly ever recycled. Even if they have a leaf, a green logo, or the word “eco” printed on them.
In reality, it’s just greenwashing. And in practice — single-use waste that lives for decades.
✨ But here’s the good news: habits can be changed easily.
In our Eco-Habits Marathon, you’ll learn dozens of small steps that genuinely make life easier — for example, always carrying a reusable cup.
It’s more convenient, looks nicer, and is far more eco-friendly 🌿

🎥 How she will use the drone
«I plan to film the rivers, beaches, forests, and jungles of Venezuela.
This award will greatly influence my ecological work — the drone will become an important tool to capture high-quality footage and share meaningful topics with many people. My goal is to continue expanding ecological activities throughout the country and eventually create my own center to record documentaries, hold lectures, organize camps, charity actions, and much more»
✨ Emotions from receiving the gift
«When my gift arrived, I felt: wow, I did it! It was a completed goal and a fulfilled mission. I was very excited and happy»
💚 MaryBran’s message to the world
«If we consume less — clothing, things, electricity, water — we will live better and healthier. Mother Earth gives us everything, and when we recycle, we can create wonderful things for our personal use. What is trash for many is a precious pearl for others. We can make the world more alive, peaceful, and natural. The rich person is not the one who has many things, but the one who knows how to live healthily, naturally, and in harmony — that is where mental and spiritual peace comes from. We are part of the ecosystem»

5 Eco-Habits for Home You Can Adopt in Just One Week
Ecology isn’t about complicated rules. You can start with small habits that save resources, money, and make your home more comfortable. Here are 5 simple steps you can implement this week:
1️⃣ Turn off the water while brushing your teeth
In 2 minutes, a running tap wastes up to 10–12 liters of water.
By turning off the tap daily, you can save up to 4,000 liters per year.
Less water used = lower bills and less pressure on treatment systems.
2️⃣ Unplug devices when not in use
Chargers, TVs, kettles, and appliances in standby mode continue consuming electricity — up to 5–10% of monthly usage.
Unplugging “sleeping” devices reduces energy consumption and extends their lifespan.
3️⃣ Use reusable cloths instead of disposable wipes
This saves money, reduces waste, and makes cleaning more efficient.
One good microfiber cloth can replace 50–100 paper towels.
4️⃣ Wash clothes at a lower temperature
Washing at 30°C instead of 60°C uses up to 40% less energy.
Your clothes last longer, keep their color and shape.
5️⃣ Sort at least one type of waste
You don’t have to sort everything at once.
Start with plastic, paper, or glass — whichever is easiest for you.
Small actions by millions of people create a huge impact — for families and for the planet.
🎄 Our New Year Eco-Habits Marathon is happening right now!
We’re introducing new habits not only at home, but also in the city, online, and in preparation for the holidays.
You can still join — a new task has just been published!

Ecopulse is an international environmental initiative that unites people from different countries, cultures, and professions around one idea: to make eco-friendly actions simple, accessible, and inspiring for everyone.
Today, Ecopulse is:
💚 Participants from more than 20 countries
Volunteers and eco-activists join from Russia, Latin America, Europe, the CIS, Asia, and Africa.
💚 An international activist chat
A space that allows people to exchange experience, support each other’s initiatives, and launch joint projects.
💚 Global challenges and campaigns
In 2025, we held the Global Cleanliness Challenge, with participants from all over the world — from Venezuela to Kazakhstan.
Winners received eco-prizes, and participants organized dozens of local eco-initiatives.
💚 Strong local projects
We support environmental events and cleanups on the ground — for example, a SWAP-event in Orenburg and a large city cleanup in Balashikha, which united local residents and showed the power of community.
💚 New formats of environmental education
We launch educational series, interactive content, interviews with eco-leaders from different countries, tests, guides, and challenges — everything to make ecology a natural part of everyday life.
💚 Eco-Habits Marathon
Our educational project — the New Year Eco-Habits Marathon — is happening right now.
For three weeks, participants adopt useful habits at home, in the city, and in the digital space.
The marathon helps people realize that ecology is not about sacrifice, but about comfort, saving resources, and taking care of oneself.
Our goal is to become the largest global community of people who make the planet cleaner through small steps.

Shower or bath — which is more eco-friendly?
A regular shower uses about 40–60 liters of water.
A full bathtub requires 100–200 liters, and most people fill it to around 150 liters or more.
So a bath can use 2–3 times more water than a short shower.
But here are two important conditions for making your shower truly water-saving:
— Try to shorten your shower time — the shorter it is, the less water you use.
— Turn off the water while you lather, apply shampoo, etc. — this really saves dozens of liters.
Additional tips to save water at home:
Use a water-saving / low-flow showerhead
Don’t fill the bathtub to the top — if you want a relaxing bath, half-full is usually enough.
🌱 Small changes make a big difference. Saving water is not only about reducing bills — it’s also a contribution to preserving natural resources.
If you want more practical eco-habits, join our New Year Eco-Habits Marathon — you’ll find many tips for home, city life, work and online habits.

New marathon task! Task №8 — “Eco-Habits Online” block
Today we move on to a very important topic: educational eco-habits in the digital space.
This is not just about information — it’s about influence that can spread far beyond your country. 🌍
What is this task about?
Think about this:
👉 What was the last eco life hack or fact you learned online — and immediately applied?
👉 Did you share it with friends or people you know?
These are not random questions.
Fact: knowledge is the most powerful tool for protecting the planet.
When we study ecology, verify information, and pass it on to others, we create a global community of conscious people. And it is exactly such communities that spark real change — from local actions to international initiatives.
There are 3 difficulty levels for this task — more details are in the marathon chat.
Complete the task, mark it in your checklist, and share your results in the chat! 💚
🎄 This is one of several marathon tasks — you can still join!

🌿 Ecopulse at Environmental Forums in Russia!
Over the past two weeks, representatives of our project have attended two major eco-events in the country — and brought back a wealth of knowledge, contacts, and inspiration.
Samara — “Eco-Community 2025” Forum
Daria and Arthur represented Ecopulse at one of the most important events in the environmental sector. They gained a lot of valuable insights:
💡 Practical tools for project development
— During the workshop “How to Tame AI”, participants learned the basics of creating an AI assistant to help automate content and data processes within Ecopulse.
🤝 Networking and partnerships
— New contacts were established with 10 key environmental organizations, including Clean Environment, Green Russia, Voices for Animals, Berezhno, Resource Saving Center, For the Sake of Good, Station A, and others.
— At the Project Fair, the team connected with 7 additional initiatives from different regions of Russia.
These connections will become the foundation for future joint projects, experience exchange, and strengthening our international eco-movement.
Moscow — “Ecopositive 2025” Award & Forum
This weekend, Daria, Arthur, and Nuriya visited one of the most inspiring eco-events of the year in Moscow. They experienced:
🎤 “Green Transformation” Conference
Discussions on engaging people in environmental action, the role of AI in ecological solutions, climate adaptation, and biodiversity preservation.
🎬 Screening of the film “Forest. Keeper of Life”
A beautiful reminder of what we are all working to protect — the living, fragile nature that needs our care.
🏆 “Ecopositive 2025” Award Ceremony
A chance to meet the people and initiatives that make the country cleaner and more sustainable every day. Truly inspiring energy that stays with you.
Such trips are more than just attending events. They are:
✔ strengthening our expertise
✔ exchanging knowledge and finding new solutions
✔ expanding our partner network

🌍 5 cities that may go underwater sooner than we think
Venice, Saint Petersburg, New York, Jakarta, Bangkok…
It seems like these threats belong to a distant future?
Unfortunately, no. Climate change is happening right before our eyes.
According to the World Bank and the UN, around 20 million people become climate refugees every year — people losing their homes due to floods, storms, droughts, and rising sea levels.
But it’s important to remember: a lot depends on us too.
Every eco-habit is not a small thing. It’s a real reduction of pressure on the planet: fewer emissions, less waste, less destruction of ecosystems.
✨ One person can “inspire” dozens of others with their example. This is how awareness grows, new projects appear, and communities unite. And this is how global change becomes possible.
One of Ecopulse’s goals is to bring as many people as possible to the “green side.” Together, we can push back the scariest scenarios and preserve a world worth living in.

Do you notice signs of climate change in your country or city?
Venice, Saint Petersburg, New York, Jakarta, Bangkok…
It seems like these threats belong to a distant future?
Unfortunately, no. Climate change is happening right before our eyes.
According to the World Bank and the UN, around 20 million people become climate refugees every year — people losing their homes due to floods, storms, droughts, and rising sea levels.
But it’s important to remember: a lot depends on us too.
